CMA is hiring an Engineering Intern for our Electrical Engineering Department as part of the firm's paid internship program within each of its offices and professional service groups. Candidates should be excited about their studies and want to come with an open mind to learn and grow. CMA takes pride in offering internships in the summer or throughout the year when a university is located near one of its regional offices, as appropriate. Many CMA interns come back to work full time for CMA or flourish throughout the A/E/C market as part of the CMA Family. CMA hopes to create a collaboration where students get a perspective in their professional growth within our areas of expertise, while providing CMA perspective on the next generation of professionals in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Work on challenging projects that require collaboration within and among various departments.
Contribute to team projects and individual tasks assigned in the discipline you support.
Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Develop project specific detail drawings.
Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
Qualifications:
On track for completing a bachelor's in engineering.
Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities
An HTM Technician maintains medical, clinical equipment and systems through effective implementation of the Mayo Clinic Medical Equipment Management Plan. Technician must demonstrate technical and mechanical skills and tasks associated with the planning, installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical, laboratory, research, and interconnected patient care systems.
Technicians in this position must be highly customer focused with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. They must have the ability to prioritize service calls appropriately, and to adhere to Mayo policy and procedure.
Service calls are communicated to the technician through HTM Leadership, HTM Support Specialists, or CMMS dashboard. Emergent calls directly from the customer may require a rapid response time. On-call and overtime may be required, as well as travel to other Mayo Clinic sites.
The technician must be committed to continuously improving their knowledge to develop a mastery of increasingly complex equipment and supporting Mayo's mission.
In addition, an HTM Level III Technician will often work with high complexity equipment such as anesthesia machines, perfusion equipment, ventilators, mass spectrometry, chemistry/hematology analyzers or Total Automation systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Electronics/Healthcare Technology Management, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Engineering (mechanical/computer/electronics) and 3 years of related experience; or an Associate's degree in Biomedical Electronics/Healthcare Technology Management, Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering (mechanical/computer/electronics), or technical discipline and 5 years of related experience; or U.S. Military training in biomedical electronics, mechatronics, or engineering (mechanical/computer/electronics) and 5 years of related experience. Related experience includes role-relevant equipment repair with a demonstrated increase in responsibility and exposure to highest complexity equipment.
Laboratory or Research positions: Associate's degree or higher in medical/clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or other related science fields and a minimum of 5 years supporting laboratory equipment with a minimum of 5 years in a service or field service type role.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience include:
* AAMI ACI Certification: AAMI-CBAT, CBET, CRES, CHTM, CISS, CCEACCE-HTCC, CCE

Knowledge and Qualifications

Major Responsibilities
Specific tasks for the CSET include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate Requests from Construction Contractor. Coordinate request from the construction Contractor for outage requests, excavation permits, burn permits, haul routes and other similar items. This will require liaison with the ROICC and appropriate base personnel (Security, Public Works, Fire Department etc.)
Coordinate field activities. CSET shall work with the construction contractor, Navy client customers, activity managers, maintenance and utility servers, Federal Fire departments, and Security Police so there is a seamless coordination of construction activities.

Prepare Construction Representatives Reports (CCRs)
The CSET shall assure that the quality control system of the Contractor is in compliance with contract documents and applicable documents. Prepare draft Contract Construction Compliance Notices (CCCNs) in cases where the CSET observed workmanship and/or materials not in compliance with construction contract documents/specifications or safety infractions.
The CSET shall take and provide the ROICC complete progress, record, special construction, and completion photographs.
Maintain Working Files. NAVFAC's Electronic Construction and Facility Support Contract Management System (eCMS) shall be used to manage electronic submittals and documents.
Minimum Education/Experience
A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Quality Control Manager or Superintendent working for a General Contractor on NAVFAC or USACE projects, OR a minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as a Foreman in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or concrete on commercial/industrial/military projects valued in excess of $5 million. A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a Journeyman in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, electrical, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or concrete. Residential experience does not qualify.
Required Knowledge or Skills
Specialized training for Construction Quality Verification or completed an equivalent course.
Competent computer skills for network data entry.
