ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Prepare CAD drawings for building product lines. Compile bills of materials required to construct buildings. Estimate the price and provide a professional proposal and drawings for the building product lines utilizing computer software. Prepare CAD drawings of custom details or new product details as required. Creation of parts including CAD drawings and entering data in manufacturing software. Travel to job sites for training or inspection requirements as necessary. May also require hands-on field testing of new products or improvements. Read and interpret contracts and other documents including, but not limited to: work requests, customers site plans, product improvement memos, and layout sketches. Follow all BMS policies and procedures. Adhere to all customer and regulatory requirements. Participate in continuous improvement regarding processes and products. Answer questions from customers and erectors regarding specific building designs as required. Other duties as assigned. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively over the telephone to answer questions from the sales team, customers and erectors in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
