The Engineering Technician IV serves as a critical technical resource supporting the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Tennessee. This role provides field-based engineering assistance to NRCS staff across designated Area and Field Offices. Technicians are responsible for conducting engineering surveys, assisting with project implementation, performing construction inspections, and supporting documentation and compliance efforts. The Environmental Intern supports the environmental services team in assessments, permitting, compliance, and sustainability projects. The role provides exposure to environmental regulations, impact analysis, and project documentation under the guidance of environmental professionals. Primary Essential Functions: Assist in preparing environmental reports, assessments, and permit applications. Conduct research and gather data on environmental impacts and compliance requirements. Support fieldwork activities such as sampling, site inspections, or surveys. Assist in developing sustainability and mitigation strategies.
