The engineering intern will spend time working within different departments to gain an understanding of the inner workings of PEA Group and its service offerings. Time as an intern will be split between office and field tasks including surveying, geotechnical engineering and AutoCAD orientation and potentially design tasks if proven to be proficient. Responsibilities Supports Geotech department by performing geotechnical testing and construction materials testing tasks including reviewing concrete and asphalt mix designs and visiting job sites. Assists technical staff with various tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data and performing calculations for projects. Performs construction assistance related tasks including visiting job sites, inspections, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with design team for revisions. Our applications are used for simulation and offline programming of industrial robots. Our team develops applications for rapid development of robot programs from the product design, accurate simulation of the robot programs and generation of the production robot programs. Our software translates simulations to and from 16 different robot programming languages. The translation is both logical (converting programming constructs) and spatial (converting positional data). We are seeking an individual with interest in robotics and programming languages. This internship will provide experience with C++ and VB.NET software development. You will also get experience working with mechanism modeling and industrial robot simulation. You will create some 3D mechanical models of new robots.
