The Opportunity

Interns will be responsible for carrying out a variety of administrative, engineering or technical assignments pertaining to the particular function where assigned.

+ Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
+ Read and understand blueprints.
+ Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
**You Will Bring These Qualifications:**

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,300.00 - $110,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Requirements:

Prepare digging permits for construction work.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of relevant experience.
Must have a good understanding of utility distribution systems and their functions in order to recognize, classify, locate, and advise appropriate constituencies to ensure efficient and safe access to, and proper utilization of, all campus utility systems.
Must have the ability to understand Utah Blue Stakes processes to ensure safety of USU utility lines.
Basic knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings and maps.
Familiarity with the basic operation of office software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of current direct experience, or prior relevant experience obtained within the last three years executing many of the listed responsibilities of this position for a college, university or hospital campus, or business park setting with an emphasis on multi-facetted underground utility distribution systems.
Recent relevant experience gained from working in architectural or engineering offices on planning, design, or project management involving on-site utility systems.
