In this position, you will be responsible for carrying out design and development assignments connected with manufacturing equipment and processes including: reactors, mixers, and special equipment to achieve desired production rates and quality standards. Responsibilities JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Investigates and analyzes the cost and reliability of using various equipment and processes. * Studies performance and troubles in existing tools and equipment and recommends improvements through redesign or modification. * Estimates costs of assigned projects together with a satisfactory delivery schedule. * Follows up to see that schedules are met. * Makes layouts and detail drawings of equipment assigned. * Evaluates various equipment and methods and points out advantages, disadvantages and production capabilities. * Recommends the purchase items needed to keep equipment properly maintained. * Checks on process capabilities of equipment designed to see that it is properly maintained. * Keeps abreast of all new development in equipment or processes that could be adapted to improve manufacturing processes.
