This position is primarily responsible for driving the transportation operation functions within the department. Ability to detect problems while machine is in operation. Can complete complex set-ups and make difficult adjustments on a wide variety of machines in the department. Use comparator and other equipment to test parts for quality. Test parts using Statistical Process Control (SPC). Make and read SPC charts. Check loads and rate of springs and make necessary adjustments. Ensure that parts produced are within the customer's tolerance limits. Train lower-level employees in using and understanding SPC.
