Role Description
Wildcat Discoveries is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Technician to join our pouch cell team! Within this role, you will operate automated lithium-ion battery cell production equipment to support evaluation of novel cell designs and chemistries. This role will directly support the development of processes and fabrication of lithium-ion battery pouch cells. The work environment is demanding, fast-paced, and incredibly exciting. The ideal candidate should be ready to push their limits, as they join a world-class scientific team dedicated to developing and discovering advanced materials for lithium-ion batteries. Essential Functions
Operate industrial mixers, aliquot raw materials, work in a fume hood and glove box.
Work with flammable, moisture sensitive chemicals, in addition to working with automated process equipment that operate at a high speed, high temperature, high pressure, and vacuum.
Utilize analytical equipment to ensure quality control.
Operate coating and roll-to-roll process equipment for coating battery electrodes.
Monitor and troubleshoot existing equipment and processes to make a product according to product specifications.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) and other written procedures, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Report problems, issues and unexpected observations in a timely manner.
Meet timelines and deadlines consistently.
Complete production documentation, and support transfer of materials to next stage of processing.
Respect others in the workplace with a professional attitude; be considerate of others with housekeeping, shared equipment; provide a safe working environment for others.
Calibrate, clean, and maintain equipment in good working condition.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Basic knowledge of scientific laboratory procedures, techniques, equipment and apparatus used in a chemistry laboratory.
Basic knowledge of health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a chemistry laboratory.
Maintain a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ability to effectively and safely operate, adapt and maintain laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
Ability to utilize computer hardware and software.

Generally some exposure to working in a laboratory environment or a manufacturing environment, and working with chemicals.
Familiarity with Roll-2-Roll manufacturing a plus
Experience with clean rooms and/or dry rooms a plus
Pilot line manufacturing experience a plus

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $18.00 - $57.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist with document management for SOLV Energy's National Environmental Compliance Program documents (i.e. monthly audits, inspection reports, Notice of Intents (NOIs), Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), erosion control plans, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, training logs, etc.).
Build, maintain, and update the Smartsheet database (i.e. permit end dates, state-specific stormwater requirements and new CGPs, SPCC updates, new projects, etc.).
Set up automated reminders and workflows for permit tracking and compliance deadlines.
Update Smartsheet database with up-to-date, relevant project information.
Assist with stormwater/erosion coordination with SOLV Energy Field Teams and SOLV Energy Personnel regarding communicating field changes and updates for compliance documentation and tracking.
Assist in gathering and organizing site-specific information necessary for the development and implementation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Assist in completing the Appendix H SOLV Energy Comprehensive SWPPP Executive Summary Memo for each project and ensuring document is filed electronically and within the field SWPPP. Update Memo's as needed when project information changes.
Compile meeting minutes for Internal Weekly SWPPP Meeting, Field Stormwater Technician Bi-Weekly Meeting, and Monthly Superintendent Meeting.
Research various environmental permits per local, state, and federal regulations (SPCC, CGP, vegetation management, etc.).
Review monthly project compliance metrics to ensure reports are reporting accurate data.
Communicate and coordinate with the Data Architecture Team if there are any issues or bugs within the Environmental Compliance Dashboard or Environmental Compliance Alert Reports on Power BI.
Assist with Hazardous Material Business Plan (HMBP) submittals for new California projects and submit changes to the plans throughout the duration of construction.
Ensure latest copies of SWPPPs, SPCCs, and IFCs are saved in the Project Specific Environmental Compliance Documents Teams folder.
Provide QA/QC oversight to NOIs, SWPPPs, IFCs, and SPCCs for each project.
Assist with document management for the Monthly Audit Program, including but not limited to:
Ensuring that the internal records reflect the job site SWPPP and documentation to reflect ongoing changes and alterations as construction progresses to meet individual states ‘living document' SWPPP requirements.
Assists in writing and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for environmental compliance processes and documentation.
Compiles state-specific SPCC requirements to support SPCC development and regulatory compliance.
Other tasks as needed.

Program Details
Internship will be approximately 3-4 months (May/June -August 2026)
A minimum of 20 hours, but more hours can be available if appropriate.
The program includes a collaborative 2-week charrette in July working on a project in Berkely, Ca (travel and lodging will be covered, if needed, during the charrette)
You will be required to work in-person at one of our California offices. Please note, lodging is not covered for anytime outside of the charrette.
What You Will Experience
Produce planning, environmental, engineering, economic, and other technical work products.
Analyze data and contribute to research.
Work with diverse technical teams.
Learn about local planning, environmental, engineering issues, and requirements.
Conduct assignments in the field (i.e., visit project sites).
Participate in public outreach and collaboration.
Collaborate and network with other diverse students in the cohort.
Minimum Qualifications
