**About the Role & Program:** The Worldwide Safety Assurance (WSA) team ensures that all Disneyland Resort attractions are in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. In addition, we manage special projects that may be rolled out at Disneyland Resort, our Domestic Parks, or our Parks around the world. Role: Northwood is looking for a Site Engineer Intern who will design, build and deploy hardware that will be part of our global network of sites. You'll be working directly with real hardware, and the choices you make will have a lasting impact on our operations and business. We're looking for a versatile candidate, who can be a jack-of-all trades mechanical engineer, electrical systems engineer, and builder. You will partner closely with external companies and cross-functional internal teams to complete your project on a tight timeline. Responsibilities: Own a ground station hardware (electrical and mechanical) project from inception, through design, production, and field deployment. Get hands on experience building complex ground support equipment (GSE), wire harnesses, and GSE test setups. Support ongoing critical site operations with customer serving ground stations around the world. Identify, troubleshoot, and solve issues with urgency. Work closely with your mentor, electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers to see your projects through to completion. Learn a ton and get exposure to real world problems! Basic Qualifications: Enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate level program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12-weeks during Summer 2026 Ability to work in a professional team environment, including direct communication with engineers, management, technicians, and external companies on behalf of Northwood Preferred Qualifications: GPA of 3.5 or above Prior applicable experience, outside of the classroom, in designing, building, and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems Involvement in competitions and leadership: FSAE, rocket clubs, robotics clubs, IEEE, college athletics, etc. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a base-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, and technical capabilities. In addition to base salary, Northwood Space offers long term incentives such as company stock, stock options, and cash awards, as well as discretionary bonus for performance. Compensation and Benefits: Northwood Summer 2026 Internships are based in Torrance, CA and 12 weeks in length (June 1 - August 21 or June 15 - September 4). We offer an hourly rate between $30-$34/hr based on discipline and graduating year. We also have a $4,000 housing stipend and lunch/dinner catered daily.
