As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following: * Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and BIM leads to execute work on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure projects. * Assist in the preparation of engineering and design deliverables including drawings, specifications, technical memoranda, reports, schedules, and figures. * Communicate effectively and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., drafters, designers, engineers). * Perform edits and updates in Revit and AutoCAD models based on engineering changes and markups. * Participate in the full project lifecycle, including design, documentation, and construction support. * Conduct field work such as site investigations and construction observations as needed. * Support data-related tasks including entry, analysis, visualization, and documentation to inform design decisions. * Check design deliverables for consistency, readability, and adherence to standards and specifications. * Provide engineering services during construction, including performance checks and conformity assessments. * Manage and deliver assignments on time, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. * Complete an Internship Capstone project demonstrating skill development, learning, and accomplishments gained during the summer internship experience. Performs a variety of routine maintenance duties for the Engineering Department. Essential Duties And Responsibilities * Provides friendly, fast, and helpful guest service to all guests and team members. * Repairs equipment as necessary and replace broken equipment as needed through the property. * Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. * Possesses basic knowledge of electricity and electrical components; assists in basic trouble-shooting and repair of all electrical equipment. * Possesses basic knowledge of plumbing and plumbing fixtures and repairs; assists in basic trouble shooting and repair of all plumbing fixtures. * Possesses basic knowledge of carpentry and woodworking; assists in repair and fabrication of woodworking related issues including, but not limited to furniture repair. * Performs any job needed for the repair and maintenance of the property as it relates to the daily function of keeping the property sufficiently safe and operational. * Operates lifts and basic facilities equipment, including but not limited to, hand tools, grinders, power saws, soldering equipment and drills and drill presses. * Performs all work in a consistently safe manner, including the use of personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, safety gloves, ear protection, and eye protection, safety vests, proper safe use of ladders and basic tools, and chemicals. Be cognizant of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, MSDS requirements, BBP expectations, PPE requirements and report all safety hazards. * Responds to all maintenance needs as requested by other departments, including, but not limited to, ensuring that all equipment utilized in all aspects of facilities are functioning properly. * Regularly tests water to ensure proper chlorination, pH and alkalinity. * Ensure proper handling of pool chemicals, including the use of personal protective equipment, proper hazard communication labeling and maintenance of MSDS documentation. * Maintains pool filtration system by emptying skimmer and pump baskets on a regular basis. Back wash pump and replenish DE on a monthly basis. * Replaces or repairs pool and spa jets, pipes, fittings, drains, flush valves, and shut off valves. * Repairs broken pool tile as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior experience in general maintenance, electrical and mechanical experience preferred. General knowledge of chemicals, maintenance tools, basic plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, lifts and assorted equipment preferred. Ability to operate equipment such as hand and power tools and emergency equipment. Good oral communication skills, able to follow directions, and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively over hand held radios. Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of one to two years of maintenance or repair experience. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & REGISTRATIONS: Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency. Must have a valid driver's license. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences, such as guests, coworkers, and members of leadership. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply regulatory and procedural doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The team member is required to stand, walk and climb ladders. The team member is occasionally required to sit or kneel/crouch and reach with hands and arms. Position involves functioning both in an office environment and in the field. Field work involves manual labor, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment for the duties performed in this position will vary and may take place in the front of house (customer facing) or in the back of house (non-customer facing) areas of the property, as well as outside. The casino and parts of the hotel are a smoking environment. The front of house areas have moderate to loud noise and varying levels of lighting. The back of house areas have adequate lighting and varying levels of sound. The outside environment will be exposed to weather conditions. WORKING HOURS: Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek is 40 hours and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
