The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Design Engineer Intern. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Design Engineer Intern Job Responsibilities:
* Create pdf from .dwg files
* Redline draft drawings - red to black lines from checkers
* Fix 3D models from checker comments
* Drop isometrics/spool from model
* Build construction install packages.
* Model 3D equipment
* Model download/RFQ
* Re-type specifications from client when mark-ups made
* Annotate plans and sections (2D AutoCAD work)
* Laser scan and use point clouds to 3D model
* Visit field sites for hands on engineering
* Learn pipe sizing and structural steel calculations
Design Engineer Intern Qualification/ Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus
Experience and Requirements:
* Candidate should be pursuing a degree in civil, mechanical, industrial or construction management
* Candidate should have completed at least one year of the appropriate study
* Candidate will be expected to work 20-25 hours/week during fall and/or spring semesters (part-time)
* Candidate will have the opportunity to work for 40 hours/week during summer (full-time)
