As an Equipment/Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will support Regional Construction & Mining operations. This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization and reliability of a construction and mining equipment fleet. The position will deal with day to day as well as long term issues related to an equipment fleet. The position's main focus will be to improve equipment reliability as well as implement, monitor, audit, and manage preventative maintenance programs.
The anticipated start date for this internship is May - June 2026.

Under supervision, the Engineer Trainee will plan, schedule, and coordinate assigned project and process engineering work; monitor work for compliance with applicable specifications, codes, and generally accepted engineering practices. This role requires effective communication and coordination with various departments and personnel both internal and external to Simplot on assigned projects. The Engineer Trainee will gather and compile costs and other data pertaining to the project, ensuring that the project runs efficiently and on schedule. **Key Responsibilities**
