The intern will learn to manage project controls and document management using CMiC. They will also assist in coordinating site activities, including subcontractor logistics and material deliveries. Each day will be different, offering continuous learning opportunities. As a Construction Management Intern for GCON, you will have varied daily tasks and be responsible for protecting and promoting GCON and its interests. Responsibilities: Understand the importance of Daily Construction Reports (DCR) and review them for accuracy. Assist the PE, PM, & Superintendent in developing meeting agendas and minutes. Implement the project-specific Quality Control (QC) Plan and demonstrate an understanding of associated risks. Learn basic scheduling and assist with assembling the Long Lead Matrix; understand how the document coordinates with the Submittal Log and Project Schedule Required on Job (ROJ) dates. Understand the importance of safety preplanning in all phases of the project with project staff. Understand GCON safety "See it, Stop it, Fix it." Learn how to identify potential unsafe work, notify the appropriate personnel, and follow through to resolution for remediation. Learn how to interpret safety requirements for each subcontractor's scope of work subcontracted to the project. Read and understand the GCON values. Learn the basics of GSTEPS; know Step 1 "owner's definition of success" on the project. Understand the importance of the project-specific Dust Control Plan (AZ Specific) ADEQ.
