The Kiewit Power Market provides direct-hire and construction services for Power Generation and Distribution utilizing a union and non-union craft force. The Kiewit Power Market builds major EPC and bid-build natural gas power plants, solar fields, nuclear facilities and energy storage systems while also providing extensive power delivery services like transmission lines, substations and underground distribution throughout North America. Responsibilities
* Work with a vibrant and diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems.
* Support both administrative and construction activities as assigned by the supervisor, reviewing proposals/specifications, drawings, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates and attend pre-bid investigation meetings.
* Learn how to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
* Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage and track costs and materials, schedule equipment, administer safety programs and maintain exceptional owner relations will fall within the job duties as well.

Qualifications
* Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree
* Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling and cost control, and to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings
* Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera "P6" is a plus

Download and convert purchased parts to functional iParts within Vault.

Primary Function of Position
The Optical Engineering Intern will work with a group of talented and dedicated people focused on the development and integration of various sensing modalities in medical robotics. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of optical technologies including fiber optic sensing and tissue imaging.
As a member of the engineering team, this position will work closely with other engineers in the design and development of state-of-the-art sensing methods. The candidate must be able to coordinate their efforts within a team design effort and be able to report progress and milestones relative to the overall development project.
Essential Job Duties
Design, develop, build and test systems based on fiber optic, free-space optic and laser technologies
Collaborate with device, hardware and software design teams to assist in overall development of optical systems
Develop and implement test procedures and/or evaluate and select appropriate test instrumentation

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern for our transportation department in the Roanoke, VA office. As an intern in the transportation department, you will assist in the design and inspection of various highway structures.
This position is expected to begin Summer 2026.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or in another related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree and plan to continue with the Master's Degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid U.S driver's license.
Completed courses related to statics, strength of materials, introductory steel design, and introductory reinforced concrete design.
Ability to follow procedures and pay attention to detail.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Proficiency in developing calculations using software like Excel or Mathcad.
Interest in bridge design is desired.

General Role Description

Role Accountabilities
The Intern will work in one or more of the following areas:
Software Control & HMI:
- Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work
- Create and document industrial controller and/or computer based software modules to meet control functionality and work progress targets, as directed, at prescribed engineering checkpoints
- Create and animate Human Machine Interface (HMI) software to meet control functionality and work progress targets, as directed, at prescribed engineering checkpoints
- Conduct simulation to verify industrial controller and/or computer software modules satisfy design and project requirements, as directed
- Conduct simulation to verify the HMI software satisfies design and project requirements, as directed
- Recommend improvements to test procedures to better identify where software does not meet all project requirements for assigned scope of work
- Provide input regarding software engineering standards to improve productivity, increase quality, and reduce cost
- Control document revision, distribution, and archiving within area of responsibility using established project document control procedures

Hardware Control:
- Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work
- Create electrical drawings that accurately reflect each project's electrical circuits, AC and DC drives, power distribution, PC/PLC and associated I/O, and other operator and miscellaneous control equipment, as directed, using approved commercially available CAD software packages
- Create AC and DC control power distribution drawings, relay, network and sensor interface drawings, as directed, for each project using approved commercially available CAD software packages
- Produce mechanical panel layout drawings based on bills of material and wiring diagrams, complying with USA or appropriate international codes and standards guidelines
- Develop other project documentation, such as enclosure outline mechanical drawings and spare parts lists, in accordance with design standards and project requirements
- Edit project drawings to reflect preliminary, manufacturing, as shipped, and final “As-Installed” configurations
- Update the project drawings as needed in support of site commissioning activities
- Control document revision, distribution, and archiving within area of responsibility using established project document control procedures
- Create and maintain standard drawing templates for various circuits and/or projects to help bring consistency in elementary drawings between projects, improve accuracy and turnaround time
- Provide input regarding hardware engineering standards to improve productivity, increase quality, and reduce cost
- Issue accurate requisitions, using the company's ERP system, in time to ensure correct parts are ordered to meet project requirements
- Provide regular, accurate, and considered status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation
Process Automation:
− Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work
− Identify and define interfaces to other software modules and functions
− Write software modules to satisfy project requirements

Process Automation - Models:
- Develop algorithms and transfer functions that define the electro-mechanical operation of industrial machinery, primarily metal rolling mills
- Verify these algorithms and transfer functions using computer simulation of mechanical processes and/or analysis of empirical data from operating machinery
- Use verified mathematical algorithms and transfer functions to design and implement software which generates control system setup and operating parameters that enable advanced automatic computer-based control of industrial machinery
- Collaborate with project engineering team to ensure inter-operation of software modules into overall project

- Conduct and/or support simulation to verify the Human Machine Interface satisfies project requirements

The Product Engineering Intern will support the Product Engineering Team in developing innovative, problem-solving solutions for the building industry. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of new products.
