Job Summary:
The Navigation Engineer develops and implements navigation algorithms for ANELLO systems that may be utilized on a variety of vehicle types, including ground, air and marine. Participate in navigation tasks including system trade studies, component modeling of inertial measurement units (IMU), global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), camera, radar, LiDAR as well as simulation of navigation algorithms
Help define requirements for vehicle sensors and state estimation software including sensors selection, voting, monitoring, fault detection, and sensor fusion
Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and integrate complex hardware/software systems
Contribute to architecture concepts, concept of operations, and technology trade studies

Experience:
BS (MS or Phd preferred) in Physics, EE, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Math, or other related fields
2+ years experience in sensor signal processing and sensor fusion algorithms (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
Experience prototyping algorithms in Matlab, Python, Julia or similar tools
Proficiency in C, C++ and Python
Experience with GNSS aided inertial navigation system and performance analysis of navigation systems and navigation state error estimation with knowledge of optimal state estimation filters such as Kalman Filter and Extended Kalman filter (EKF)
Solid understanding of state estimation techniques: state observers, Kalman filter, nonlinear state estimation

Responsibilities:
Conduct research and development on state-of-the-art Generative AI models, including transformers, diffusion models, GANs, and autoregressive architectures
Apply advanced Generative AI techniques to a variety of tasks such as text generation, creative content generation, conversational agents, and multimodal learning
Develop and implement large-scale, production-quality Generative AI systems that integrate with LinkedIn's platform
Design and implement evaluation frameworks for AI models, including metrics, datasets, and pipelines for automated testing and benchmarking

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

Proven research experience in Generative AI, including LLMs, GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, or similar architectures
Knowledge of generative models, neural networks, and probabilistic methods for AI

Our internship roles will be based in Mountain View, CA.

We are looking for AI interns to work on our massive semi-structured text, graph and user activity data sets. Build highly scalable, highly performant social graph engines, state-of-the-art full-text search engines, and platforms for recommendation and applied data analytics. You will utilize data mining, information retrieval, and machine learning to perfect your strong systems orientation skills.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a master's degree program, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
Our internships are 12 weeks in length and will have the option of two intern sessions:
• May 26th, 2026 - August 14th, 2026
• June 15th, 2026 - September 4th, 2026
Responsibilities:
• Work with BIG data, crunching millions of samples for statistical modeling, data mining, recommendation, or search relevance solutions.
