What You Will Do
As a member of our Engineering teams, you will help to engineer the magic. You will be part of a team that works each day to design, build, service and maintain a level of service that exceeds our client and guest expectations. Your team's responsibilities may include:
Provide strategic and project support for new and existing attractions and facilities
Develop global design and safety standards
Design and supervise the fabrication and testing of enhancements and new designs for ride vehicles and systems
Provide software services for ride, show and other process control systems being developed and installed in the Disney parks
Provide construction project management services and long-term facility planning for the Walt Disney World Resort.
Deliver a wide variety of maintenance and repair services for the operating and support teams
Sustain assets and structures like buildings, rides, buses, watercraft and ensures our property is always show ready
Required Qualifications & Skills
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirement.
Computer Science majors must have experience with and knowledge of one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++

APTIM is currently seeking an energetic and motivated environmental engineering intern to join our team of engineers and scientists in support various project activities. The successful candidate will be a hands-on student who is dedicated to learning while completing assigned tasks with both ingenuity and pragmatism. APTIM's internship program provides students with the opportunity to acquire real-world knowledge and skills that will help focus efforts on the most appropriate field of study. Interns will be paired with experienced engineering and science staff who will provide training on specific tasks, and also mentorship on the environmental assessment, remediation, and infrastructure business. This is a Temporary position.
The STRIVE Internship Program is a 12-week experience running from **May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026** . Interns are required to be fully available during **Week 1 (May 18--22)** and **Week 12 (August 3--7)** of the program. Week 12 includes **company-paid travel to an APTIM office** (location to be announced) for an end-of-internship celebration.
Interns are expected to minimize absences to ensure a meaningful program experience. The program observes **Memorial Day (May 25, 2026)** and **Independence Day (July 3, 2026, observed)** .
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Work tasks will be completed in the field at active project sites and in the office.
+ Dedication to learning applicable regulatory rules and guidance as well as company policies and procedures.
+ Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures. All work will be subject to review by experienced engineering and science staff.
+ Under the supervision of an experienced team member, apply engineering skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks.
+ Collaborate with current engineering staff in the interpretation of engineering data, conduct engineering analyses, and perform calculations and modeling utilizing appropriate software packages.
+ Participate in field tasks including but not limited to collection of environmental samples from various media (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and gas). Assistance in implementing remedial actions designed by professional engineering staff.
+ Possess the ability to thoroughly and accurately summarize field data and present results to senior team members.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Attending an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
+ Preference is for candidate to have completed their Junior year in college with expected graduation in 2026.
+ Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
+ Must be a self-starter, excel in time management, and work well under pressure.
+ Must be available to work in various settings such as in an office or remotely in the field, depending on project needs.
+ Ability to complete 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and wear proper personal protective equipment for work on hazardous waste sites. Lifting and physical work will be required.

Responsibilities in our Transportation Design Groups (Road, Bridge, Traffic)
Contribute to roadway designs, lay out alignments, and create typical sections, site assessment and engineering report development.
3D modeling and work with Microstation/Geopak, AutoCad, Blubeam, Open Bridge, Merlin Dash, Quick Bridge,
Different projects would include, Roundabouts, Bridge Replacements and Rehabilitations, Urban Roads, Rural Roads and Large Interstate Improvements
