Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (completed and verified prior to star) from an accredited university.
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role focused on detection engineering or threat detection.
Displays a proven track record in leading and managing a threat response team with emphasis on proactive threat identification, analysis and incident identification.
Ability to apply threat intelligence to identify, assess, and report on current advanced threats
Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender for Endpoint)
Relevant certifications such as GIAC (GCIA, GDAT, GCTD), CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Responsible for development and execution of required product performance tests both internally and at outside laboratories.
Manage engineering support to identify and support production outsourcing and raw materials vendors, including qualifications associated with vendor changes.
Oversee development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation by engineering to include product specifications, product drawings, procedures, labeling and packaging.
Coordinate product engineering responses for Non-Conformances, CAPA, complaints, technical questions and regulatory reviews.
Provide technical support for analysis of field failures and customer returns
Ensure employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented. Generate and execute departmental training plans to include product design, CAD modeling, labeling software, lean manufacturing and statistical analysis.
Conduct performance reviews and recommend appropriate salary increases for personnel within the department.
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.

Manage the team's budget.

As needed, delegate day-to-day technical leadership by appointing “pod leaders” or other functional leads.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a test engineer or as a design engineer responsible for test development.
Minimum of 4 years of industry experience as an engineering manager with a track record of success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.
Test software development or project management.
