Northrop Grumman Space Defense Systems is currently seeking a **Systems Engineering Department Manager 3** to join our Engineering team within Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division in **Roy, UT, Manhattan Beach, CA, Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO, or Bellevue, NE.**
**What You'll Get To Do**
This selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Systems Support and Logistics Department within the Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to the SDS Systems Engineering Director. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Set operating objectives and provide mentorship to Functional Home Room (FHR) Section Managers (SMs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy
+ Provide oversight and assistance to multiple business areas within the division portfolio (Sentinel/GBSD, ICBM Sustainment, and Advanced Programs)

As the Systems Support and Logistics Department Manager, you will lead a team of engineers ranging across one or more of the following engineering disciplines: Command & Control Systems, Launch Systems, Facility Infrastructure, ICBM Sustainment, and Logistics and Training.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $289,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.
Experience managing rail industrial development design-build projects preferred.
Ability to work with existing and new clients to identify new projects, articulate to the clients our ability to perform those projects, and translate that into the sale of consulting services.
Ability to lead multi-discipline teams of engineers.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently, including identification of critical path items to ensure deliverable deadlines are met.
Ability to focus on the big picture to effectively and efficiently provide services that meet client needs, while also having the ability to identify and analyze details that are critical to project outcomes.
Willingness to learn new service offerings as client needs and the market requires changes to the service offerings provided by our group.
