Transmission Interconnections Planning helps Georgia Power's strategy to meet the energy needs of customers and support the state's expected continued extraordinary growth by serving on the team that studies generator interconnection requests. A key component of the strategy is to procure up to 4,000 MW of renewable resources by 2035. The Engineer/Project Manager coordinates with Georgia Power, Southern Company Services, and ITS Participants to address Transmission Service and Generation Interconnection requests in line with FERC, state, and reliability standards.
