Duties
As an Assistant EngineeringManager, you will direct technical teams in achieving timely completion of department projects and objectives including:

o Reviews product design to ensure optimal manufacturability, adherence to tolerance guidelines, tool design, machine design, cell layout, compatibility issues, and safety concerns.
o Leads tooling development and design from tool drawings through manufacturing production stages.
o Leads process development effort through cross-functional teams to develop optimal cell layout, work instructions, process flow layout, and set-up procedures, while adhering to safety, quality, and productivity protocols.
o Leads cross-functional teams to develop PFMEA's, mistake/error proofing.
o Coordinates internal engineering trials for PPAP's, Run at Rates, etc.
o Accomplishes the above tasks through compliance with the plant's Advanced Planning Quality Procedures.
o Turn jobs over to production that are process capable and have all required equipment and documentation.
o Leads engineering efforts to resolve/improve process problems
o Assist plant in technical, equipment, facility and process matter as required.
o Takes ownership of administration duties for certain IATF/ISO processes.

Summary:

Purpose

Develop and implement maintenance program for new recycling plant.

Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering engineering projects within a fresh pork processing manufacturing environment. This role requires complete ownership of projects from initial concept through final implementation, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated industry.
Responsibilities:
Assume full accountability for assigned projects from inception to completion.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
Coordinate with internal teams (operations, maintenance, quality assurance) and external vendors.
Prepare detailed project budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure financial compliance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety throughout all project phases.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors.
Manage contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Support plant modernization and technology upgrades.
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates to leadership.
Prepare post-project evaluations and lessons learned reports.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
5 + years of engineering project management experience in manufacturing environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through completion required.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and USDA guidelines preferred.
PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
Up to 30% travel to vendor sites or other company facilities.

The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Corporate Engineering and Continuous Improvement, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world. Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction, and qualification contract partners. Some of the assets delivered will support an expansion in supply of existing medicines or making the supply chain more robust.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage manufacturing capital projects consisting of both Lilly and Non-Lilly professionals to safely achieve project objectives from conceptual design through operational verification (cradle to grave cycle).
Project Delivery: Deliver projects by managing Project Scope, Schedule and Budget while identifying and mitigating Risks, with a high bar of Safety First and Quality Always.
Compliance: Lead with a disciplined, structured approach to project management based on compliance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans for projects. Ensure compliance to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and work rules for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from conceptual design through operational verification. Be an active member of the site safety team.
Interface/Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with project team, governance teams, business partners and other stakeholders as the size of the project may dictate. Facilitate issue resolution, anticipate scope changes, and implement safely with quality, speed, and value.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree - preferably in an Engineering Discipline
Minimum 5+ Years previous experience in capital project delivery in industrial or manufacturing facilities

Pharma manufacturing experience

$66,000 - $171,600
