JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
A Department Manager III serves as the senior manager of a technical or administrative-focused department or group and is responsible for the organization, tasking, prioritization, and management of all projects and personnel within the Enterprise. The employee leads the Enterprise and directs and administers the programs of a technical and administrative nature to accomplish the functional task and overall development of the department and serves as a policy maker.
Employee will be responsible for the following functions/duties:
Directly responsible to the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR) JT4 Vice President in overseeing the JTech II contract in all facets of Sustainment and Developmental Engineering Support. Associated functions include Project Management, Information Technology, Hardware, Software, Mechanical, and Communications Systems Engineering as well as Communications Systems Maintenance.
Track and manage projects, both internal and using outside vendors, in the areas of scope, cost, and schedule. Develop strategies, and apply resources, to provide sustainment support for existing NTTR mission support systems.
Work closely with Customers to establish requirements for sustainment and development activities to meet NTTR mission support requirements.
Evaluate technical solutions and approaches to design, build, and testing activities to ensure sound methodologies are applied.
Establish technical, administrative, and procedural guidelines to meet the needs of the work unit/section in accordance with Enterprise and customer requirements.
Lead JT4 efforts in the establishment of statements of work for vendor products, services and support to achieve NTTR goals.
Evaluate and adjust procedures, or reassign priorities, to projects/tasks as needed to keep all activities on schedule and within budgetary limits.
Interview potential new job candidates and make decisions or recommend personnel actions such as hiring, discipline, and termination.
Oversee and monitor Department compliance with Enterprise Engineering, Quality Assurance, Cyber, and process improvement goals and standards.
Assure appropriate training is provided to unit personnel to promote continuous improvement of services to the customer.
Periodically evaluate the performance of all subordinate supervisors and scientific or technical professionals.
Responsible to build and motivate teams within the department to ensure effective resource management.
Perform other job-related duties, as required.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree (master's is preferred), or equivalent formal academic or technical training and experience, and an in-depth knowledge of the principles of advanced management obtained through formal or self-study, or in-depth working knowledge of related career fields such as technical trades or scientific and engineering professions and 15 years of experience in one of the related fields and a minimum of 15 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role are required for this position.
In addition, a Department Manager III must possess the following qualifications:
Understanding of the operational philosophy and business nature of the company
Familiar with computer-based management tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Planning/organizational skills
Ability to work under deadlines.
SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $154,000 to $247,000 annually.

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Directs the overall operations of one or more CE Departments by:
+ Meeting/exceeding all SLA deliverables and conducting Monthly Operational Report (MOR) meetings to review CE's KPI results with each hospital leadership team.
+ Developing synergies with key stakeholders, i.e. System Medical Device Security Operations, System IT, Clinical Department leadership and Original Equipment Manufacturers to implement a medical device security program for networked medical equipment across all sites.
+ Develops and ensures the implementation of policy and procedures that result in a fully compliant CE program for each site under their scope.
+ Directs supervisors and/or CE team members in best practices to ensure the financial performance of the department meets or exceeds budget and supports CommonSpirit Health's financial health. This is accomplished by:
+ Developing and directing an advanced CE program that includes multi-site service strategies to support all medical equipment under their scope.
+ Strategic development of staff training plans that support a multi-site service operation to meet both budget targets and provide optimal service response/equipment uptime.

Goodfellow Corp. is in search of an experienced and versatile electrical engineer to lead our team in the design and production of electrical control panels for crushing, screening, and conveying equipment for the mining and aggregate industries. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in both electrical engineering and management of a small production shop (3-5 additional electricians/apprentices). The job will require regular hands-on work on the production floor, as well as engineering custom designs and coordinating with sales staff to ensure that customer needs are fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all day-to-day operations of a small panel-building shop with 3-5 additional employees
Oversee the production of a variety of "stock" panel designs. Ensure high levels of productivity and product quality.
Design new and custom 480V electrical panels consisting of breakers, starters, VFDs, PLCs, soft starts, etc., make engineering drawings, and develop Bills of Materials for the manufacturing of those panels.
Design and oversee the production of Motor Control Centers (MCC) - both in stationary and portable applications.
Supervise, train, and mentor a small team with varying levels of experience - from journeyman electricians to electrical apprentices. Work with Human Resources to perform performance reviews, seek and hire new talent, and implement performance improvement plans and disciplinary action.
Work with the Safety Manager to develop and enforce a culture of safety. Ensure that proper safety protocols are established and enforced.
Manage inventory levels of electrical components and tools, coordinating with internal purchasers and outside vendors to maintain efficient and timely operations.
Consult with estimating and sales staff to estimate cost and timeframes for potential future projects.
Consult with executive leadership and customers to determine the feasibility of potential projects and product lines.
Occasionally consult with facility maintenance personnel to assist with internal electrical concerns.
This position reports to the director of engineering and production.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Extensive experience in industrial electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on 480V applications.
Knowledge and experience with panel building, including the installation and operation of Breakers, Starters, VFDs, PLCs, and Soft Starts.
Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an electrical assembly or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Ability to use AutoCAD or other engineering software to design electrical schematics and blueprints.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
