Reviews test plans of all projects against schematics with test technicians before testing commences.
Reviews test reports and testing schematics for completion and adherence to Crown's testing procedures/work instructions.
Maintains physical copies of all completed test reports and testing schematics, and makes sure the same are uploaded to the project folder in a timely manner.
Reviews and maintains testing equipment list with Test Technicians.
Creates and maintains test procedures, including testing forms.
Leads problem-solving initiatives to analyze quality failures and help drive quality improvements (ex. ways to improve the efficiency of testing to reduce the time required).
Ensures all team members follow testing standards and safety procedures; promptly report and investigate all quality failure incidents.

GENERAL FUNCTION

**Overview**

Job Summary
The Manager, Electrical Engineering Technicians is a senior-level position that leads a team of technicians who provide front-line support for the design, development, implementation, and sustaining of electronic products and systems, and supports various projects, cross-functional teams, and departments across the organization. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Mechanical EngineeringManager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the mechanical engineering department. Verifies designs, trouble-shoots, conducts, documents and/or oversees any resultant processes of corrective actions.
Directly serve, as appropriate, as Project Engineer on certain projects.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Highly experienced in traditional mechanical design, simulations, design for manufacturing and assembly for mechanical systems such as enclosures for buildings' equipment or switchgears.
Proven records of personal and technical leadership.
Required competence in 3D solid modelling, proficiency with the latest mechanical CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and the simulation tools required.
Experience in structural design and analysis, familiarity with structural FEA
Familiarity with building codes, ASME, ANSI
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to work well with assemblers and other manufacturing personnel.
Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, troubleshooting skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office programs, including Microsoft Projects.
