Summary
Our Engineering team is actively recruiting for a Regional Engineering Manager. This position provides overall responsibility for capital planning and execution for the big birds and small birds processing facilities. This position requires leadership skills in working with cross-functional teams and effectively managing timelines. Position will manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to influence across business units as well as effectively coordinating external and internal resources.
This position will be supporting the following sites: Georgetown, DE, Perry, GA, Salisbury, MD, Rockingham, NC, Dillon, SC and Washington, IN
The salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and lead overall technical strategies and tactics focused on Safety, Compliance, Quality, Profitable Growth, and Cost.
* Works collaboratively with Operations leadership and VP of Engineering to execute capital projects that deliver on Safety, Compliance, Quality, Profitable Growth, and Cost.
* Capital projects will include: facility infrastructure / equipment / production systems; technical maintenance support, environmental and energy utilization.
* Conduct project meetings with cross functional teams to ensure scope and business objectives are met on time and within budget. Master stage-gate process to ensure project success.
* Build project timelines, clearly state objectives and identify risks.
* Responsible for capital investment strategy; Develop budgets for future capital projects and compile into a multi-year capital budget.
* Ensures infrastructure is maintained to meet or exceed the operational needs including but not limited to: associate safety, code compliance, electrical, mechanical, boiler and HVAC systems.
* Trains project managers and others in the proper project management techniques.
* Provide technical leadership to the project teams. Elevate issues to manager to keep projects on track.
* Report out key project management metrics.
* Maintains accurate and current floor plans and equipment layouts.
* This position has no direct reports but works collaboratively with the safety, FSQA, production, maintenance, and environmental managers.
* Extensive travel to various sites- 20%
Minimum Education
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Civil or Structural Engineering or extensive related work experience.
Experience Requirements
* 10+ years related work experience is with a track record in problem solving, negotiating, managing people, and establishing and meeting schedules is required.
* Ability to frequently travel to remote plants and project sites is required. Must have adequate computer skills with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Experience Preferred
12 years related work experience is preferred. Technical experience in construction, refrigeration, poultry processing equipment, project management, and equipment layout is preferred.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
* Position is active. Work activity is on the project and plant sites. On the floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
* May need to move equipment occasionally.
* May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
* Work activity is where the processing equipment is located.
* Work environment includes, but is not limited to, a normal office environment and construction site as well as climate extremes found in a poultry processing operation, feed mill, hatchery and a waste water treatment facility.
* Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
* When in a plant environment:
* Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
* May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.

* May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

What You Will Do:
Utilize 3D modeling software to develop top-down system and component designs, ensuring system interactions are controlled and manufacturable
Review and interpret customer, dealer, and business requirements; translate them into functional and detailed engineering designs
