The Prime Air team is looking for a strong technical and business leader to lead our Drone Engineering teams. Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.
U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:
* 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
* 1 paid day off for employee's birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco
* Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
* Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
* 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
* Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
* Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
* .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
* 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
* 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
* Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in data engineering with deep experience in data platform management, data product management, analytics engineering, and data modeling
7+ years in an engineering leadership role with direct management responsibilities of at least 5 people
3+ years in an engineering leadership role managing managers
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
Expert-level skills in Python and SQL
Deep understanding of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and related technologies, including data processing frameworks and messaging platforms
Experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker, and an understanding of cloud-scale delivery, including scalability, resiliency, and recoverability
Experience with data architecture across highly scalable, distributed systems
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, and DevOps principles
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and scalability
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Experience in the financial industry or B2B platforms is a plus

About The Role
In this role, you will design and execution of the Balance of Plant (BoP) systems that make fusion power possible - from radiation shielding and gas handling to thermal management and heat recovery. This role is at the heart of translating fusion physics into practical power generation. You'll build and lead teams that integrate Helion's fusion generators with the systems that extract, move, and manage energy at scale. It's a rare opportunity to lead multidisciplinary engineering at the edge of what's possible and you'll have direct ownership of the systems that will define the world's first fusion power plant. This is an onsite role that reports directly to the VP of Engineering at our Everett, WA office.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems
* Own the design and delivery of critical plant systems - radiation shielding, fuel and exhaust gas systems, vacuum infrastructure, and thermal management
* Partner with nuclear, magnet, and systems engineering teams to integrate fusion generators into a cohesive power plant
* Drive cross-functional engineering execution - from early concept to detailed design, manufacturing, and test
* Set the technical bar for rigor, documentation, and accountability, ensuring safety, scalability, and reliability
* Continually raise the standard for ownership, execution pace, and design clarity across your teams
* Develop the next generation of Helion engineering leaders through mentorship and example.
Required Skills
* A degree in engineering or physics
* 10+ years of multidisciplinary engineering experience, including 5+ in technical leadership or management
