As the Director of Engineering at the Omni Shoreham you will be Responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all Engineering personnel and to provide consistent, cost-effective maintenance programs that ensure the property's safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities
Coordinate and operate, in an economic, legal and safe manner, all R&M & Utility
expenses.
Managing Birchstreet for all R&M expenses, participate in all month-end financial process
and forecasting.
Supervise a comprehensive maintenance and preventative maintenance program for
public spaces, guestrooms and equipment. All work request and preventive maintenance to
be managed in Synergy.
Coordinate with other departments to maintain general conditions and adhere to safety,

Recommend capital budget projects, obtain bids, and oversee contractors for project

Maintain own and resort's special permits and licenses as required by local, state and
federal authorities.
Control schedules, staffing, and payroll for the Engineering team. Maintain personnel
records, utility logs, and engineering records.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries,
and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional
personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect
company assets.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop,
and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality,
safety, and/or cost-savings.
Responsible for scheduling and facilitating monthly department meetings.
Effectively coach and counsel associates as needed and complete performance
evaluations.
Attend all company required training.
Maintain and oversee the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers and all associated equipment in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.
Monitor, maintain, and ensure proper operation of all laundry equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance as needed to minimize downtime.
Effectively collaborate with union labor, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and maintaining a positive working relationship.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' hospitality Engineering experience required or in a similar field.
Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing is preferred. CPO and EPA certifications are
required. If currently do not possess, it will be required to obtain within 6 months of
employment.
Expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building management, and all life safety
systems pertinent to hotel operations.
Knowledgeable in safety use for: power tools, general engineering tools and equipment,
pool pumps and filtration systems.
Knowledgeable in ADA requirements, power, water and sewer distribution, blueprints, fire
codes and fire protection.
Demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills. Must possess
effective teamwork and guest relations.
Demonstrates understanding and application of management approaches for work
