As a member of our Monitoring team, you will design, implement, integrate, and maintain IT operations management (ITOM), AiOps platform and the Monitoring function using several tools at the core of the Western Union technology world. You will be liaising with different teams and stakeholders, you will work to understand business problems and requirements, and will subsequently build processes and solutions to achieve desired outcomes. You will play a critical role making Western Union IT operations more effective and efficient by enhancing collaboration, automation, change, event, incident and problem management processes and capabilities.
For this role, we require you to have a technical degree or equivalent with 1+ years' experience in Monitoring tools and/or related technologies. You'll have knowledge of at least 1 of the following tools: Dynatrace, Micro Focus Sitescope, Microfocus NNMi, Big Panda, Data Dog, OpenSearch. SRE and DevOps knowledge are a plus. Experience in integrating/implementing with AIOps tools is a plus. It is preferable for you to have a good exposure on AWS cloud with basic knowledge on Ansible, Git, Jenkin or similar tools. Responsibilities
Provides leadership for international technical field service engineering team directly supporting customer needs for ‘premier’ customer service by collaborating with key stakeholders supporting root cause investigation of emerging issues, implementation of product improvements, and corrective actions. Coordination of time sentive communication and periodic project overviews for addressing complex technical issues by providing status and resolution plans to both internal and external customers. Implement on‐going project status reviews using project management tools and engineering systems, maintaining effort within defined scope, cost and schedule constraints.
Leading the field service team in supporting ‘continuous improvement’ for maintenance, training, and support strategies ensuring world class customer service of Parker fielded product including reliability data coordination for addressing potential product support agreements and prognostic service applications.
Manages the team making both time sensitive AOG Makes decisions on and establishes technical priorities for projects within the team’s scope. Compile engineering cost and schedule data and identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce cost and/or schedule to improve engineering productivity. Provide feedback to the team on performance to engineering cost targets.
Make recommendations and decisions on human resources actions (e.g. staffing, training, compensation, etc.); discusses exceptional cases with the next level manager. Communicate and implement actions to ensure Parker values and company policies are well understood and maintained (e.g. business ethics; integrity; inclusion). Continue identification and execution of continuous improvement ideas to deliver improved performance to the business.
Works with business development and program management to identify new business opportunities, present Parker product capabilities, and clarify customers’ technical requirements. The key role of an Engineering Specialist - Technical Regulatory Compliance is that of principal contributor on a design or CPPD team responsible for development of safety and compliance related aspects of a product, process or both. This position contributes to Enterprise regulatory compliance teams, develops solutions for complex technical engineering problems, and may be accountable for the design or improvement of complex systems or processes. In addition to demonstrating technical expertise, a person in this position may be called on to act as a team and/or project leader. But major focus is on technical delivery. Must demonstrate ability to develop and perform on a complex project or program. Direct work with other units, suppliers, customers, and teams requires the incumbent demonstrate skill in negotiation, building consensus, and achieving compromise. Impact of decisions made by this position may be far-reaching, to include the project team or immediate work group, division, and/or business unit, suppliers, internal and external customers, and Caterpillar markets. Decisions may significantly impact warranty, patents, products or processes, technology, costs, sales, and customer perceptions. Success factors for the Engineering Specialist - Technical Regulatory Compliance are strong communication, spatial and conceptual design skills, and an understanding of customers' needs and product application. Job Duties

The Engineering Specialist - Technical Regulatory Compliance position is a role in a specialized field that contributes to Enterprise regulatory compliance and safety teams, as well as committees or groups outside of the company. This position is focused on providing Control System Functional Safety and Machinery Product Safety Risk Assessment support. It's expected that the incumbent will either be an externally Certified Functional Safety Engineer or will be trained and seek this certification during the assignment. Specific duties include understanding, interpreting and participating in the development of various international standards, engaging in advocacy efforts on regulatory policies, conducting training for internal product system or component teams, facilitating control system safety assessments and product safety risk assessments, participating in design reviews and consulting with engineering design teams, auditing hardware and software assessments and participating in projects to further improve efficiency of the work group. This role has several peers performing similar activity in support of all Caterpillar products, who all report to a Functional Safety and Risk Assessment manager in Caterpillar's Product Compliance and Support organization.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science or Technology Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural or Controls Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university plus at least 10 years of job-related experience in engineering
