Responsibilities:
Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock out Tag out: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)) for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance.
Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides guidance to lower level staff with complex problems.
Assembles, tests, and modifies experimental and/or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry and components according to engineering specifications in industrial or commercial plants and laboratories.
Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures and performs preventive/corrective maintenance.
Records data and recommends modification or replacement of failed equipment.

+ .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
+ 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
+ 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
+ Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Position Summary:
The School of Engineering at Manhattan University seeks a skilled, experienced, and dedicated Machinist/Engineering Technician, beginning January 15, 2026, to support the School of Engineering Machine Shop and instructional laboratories. The position will also have an active role in supporting the Universitys new ARCH Innovation Exchange. This position contributes directly to Manhattan Universitys growing ecosystem of hands-on engineering education, interdisciplinary innovation, and design-driven learning. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Responsibilities:
* Operate, maintain, and supervise the School of Engineering Machine Shop and instructional labs.
* Provide machining, fabrication, prototyping, and technical support for student projects, faculty research, and senior design activities.
* Contribute to the ARCH Innovation Exchange by supporting interdisciplinary prototyping, design-build work, and innovation-focused student projects across the Schools of Engineering, Business, and Arts & Sciences.
* Train and supervise students on safe use of equipment; maintain compliance with all university and other required safety standards.
* Support laboratory instruction, assist with experimental setups, and help faculty incorporate hands-on learning in courses.
* Maintain and repair machining and testing equipment; manage inventory, tools, and material supplies.
* Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
* Hands-on experience operating and maintaining machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, saws, drill presses, etc.).
* Demonstrated knowledge of machining processes, shop safety protocols, and high-precision equipment operation.
* Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with students and faculty in a teaching laboratory environment.
Preferred:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping systems.
* Experience supporting engineering education settings and/or research laboratories.
* OSHA or other safety training/certification.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new AI opportunities and create intelligent AI applications.
Lead MVP development using a test-and-learn approach with cross-functional teams.
Iterate from problem framing to prototyping and deploying production-grade solutions.
Deliver reliable, scalable AI features in production.
Build prototypes and develop data pipelines for deployment.
Experiment with generative LLMs to create and enhance generative applications using prompts and user feedback.
Clearly communicate efforts and impact to both technical and business audiences.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Master's of PhD program in Computational Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Experience in a professional environment, including prior internship experience is preferred.
Expertise in the latest Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI advancements.
Proactive in staying updated with evolving AI trends and new LLM releases.
Skilled at diagnosing and solving complex, ambiguous problems with curiosity and a product-focused mindset.
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex analysis clearly and actionably.
Results-oriented, creative thinker who takes initiative and delivers practical solutions.
Committed to inclusivity, respecting diverse perspectives to foster innovation and build great products.
Proven expertise in implementing and fine-tuning generative AI LLMs, with strong NLP knowledge including embeddings, GPT, and Transformer models.
Familiarity with cloud computing and AI deployment on AWS or Google Cloud.
Solid foundation in deep learning, machine learning, statistics, and optimization from coursework or practical experience.
Proficient in Python & C++/Java programming through academic or work experience.
