Key Job Responsibilities


Responsible for configuring CAD and PDM tools to meet business requirements Provide user support (resolve issues, implement enhancements, provide training) Coordinate with CAD Admins, Engineering Systems Analysts, CAD Librarian and others to support overall use of the CAD system by the business Support other engineering system tools as assigned Contribute to improvement of systems and processes in assigned areas. Identify and lead medium to large improvement efforts.



Predominant Tasks



Learn the company's engineering systems and apply knowledge to support the needs of internal customers. Monitor and support engineering systems with system maintenance, troubleshooting, programming support, user training, and upgrades or changes as required. Identify, develop, test, and implement changes to improve engineering systems and processes. Extract, analyze, and evaluate engineering data. Keep abreast of current developments in engineering system tools and identify opportunities for improvements that apply to our business



Qualifications/Requirements



4 year engineering, computer science, or related technical degree, strongly preferred. 7+ years' experience designing, developing, and configuring systems to support business process requirements and user needs, required. 3 years' experience in mining or machine design, desired. Experience in configuring and maintaining computer-aided design (CAD) and Product Data Management (PDM) tools, strongly preferred. Experience with Autodesk products, desired. Drafting and design experience, beneficial. Experience working with global teams, desired. Knowledge in SAP engineering applications, beneficial Skill with data mining, data reporting, and data analysis tools and techniques, required. Knowledge and experience with one or more programming languages, C# and .net highly preferred, network infrastructure, and databases, beneficial. Understanding of engineering data and engineering change control processes, required. Demonstrated aptitude in learning and applying new systems, tools, and technologies to meet business needs.

SPA's ORCA division is seeking a mid-level Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Analyst. SPA employs its simulation system products in support of operations, experimentation, and the acquisition analysis process. MBSE Analysts at SPA apply MBSE principles and tools to identify and analyze trends in big data to solve real-world problems. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will participate in project teams to:

+ Assist in the analysis of the performance of DoD programs and systems

+ Conduct data collection and specification reviews

+ Develop and maintain system-of-systems models using commercial and proprietary MBSE tools

+ Assist in the preparation of deliverables to include presentations and written reports of findings and recommendations

+ Participate in customer meetings and briefings

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field

+ At least 4 years of industry experience with DoD / Government systems

+ Demonstrated expertise with Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, and/or other Dassault/No Magic tools

+ Familiarity with Unified Profile for DoDAF/MODAF (UPDM), United Architecture Framework (UAF), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Unified Modeling Language (UML), and other MBSE languages, frameworks, and ontologies

+ Experience translating system requirements and concept of operations into a model format following MBSE principles.

+ Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering and Systems-of-Systems Engineering principles, processes, methodologies, and best practices

+ Ability to leverage architecture data, modeling, simulation, and analysis assessment processes to evaluate metrics across multiple courses of action

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Must be able to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

+ Advanced degree in Math, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Physical Science, or a related field

L3Harris Technologies currently has an opening for an Orbital/Operations Analyst in Southern California. The Analyst will be member of a dynamic team supporting cutting edge systems for the space industry and will support satellite space situational awareness (SSA) activities, primarily as an Orbital/Operations Analyst as part of National Security program at Vandenberg SFB. The Analyst will operate orbit determination and satellite characterization systems utilizing data from a variety of phenomenology's (radar, passive RF, optical). Analytical prediction requires use of analytical tools, such as Freeflyer, STK, and MATLAB to calculate orbit trajectories, maneuvers, and to establish design reference missions.

Essential Functions:

+ Responsible for algorithm development, quantitative analysis, orbit determination, decision analysis, capability analysis, system engineering requirements analysis and trade studies, analyses of alternatives, design of experiments, and architecture analysis

+ Support programs by creating models, simulations, and analysis tools to support national security space analysis activities. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluations alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, and operations

+ The candidate will work with software development teams to implement and validate models, ultimately resulting in user capabilities

+ Develop new algorithms and processes, enhance current tool capabilities, and perform analyses

+ Interaction with customers and provides input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables under guidance of senior technical personnel

+ May act as a technical lead for limited aspects of a project

+ Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience, OR, graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, OR, combination of relevant experience and education

+ 3 years of Spacecraft Operations experience

+ Active TS/SCI security clearance

+ Experience in requirements development and management, space vehicle design and operations, payloads, and mission operations

Preferred Additional Skills:

+ Software: STK/Astrogator, Astrodynamics Standards, SOAP, Pro Engineer

+ Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java, Parallel Computing, UNIX/Linux

+ Experience in supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis of national security space related problems desired

+ Experience with both Waterfall and Agile approaches to Systems Engineering

+ Experience working with software development teams and associated Agile
