About the Role:
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing plant equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Follow and promote safe work practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Assess and determine when machines require repairs or service, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and as needed.
Communicate maintenance issues across shifts to ensure operational continuity.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
Participate in safety meetings and stay updated on plant and safety matters.
Work on a 12-hour rotating shift (8:00 PM - 8:00 AM) and be available for mandatory overtime or shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience with mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
Licenses/Certifications: Must obtain and maintain an OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, rotating machinery, pumps, pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication.

Overview:
