Salary Information Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. **A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations** Nature of Work The fundamental reason this classification exists is to perform entry-level survey engineering work in the field as part of a survey crew. As experience is acquired, the incumbent will perform with increasing independence. Responsibilities include working as the instrument person with the surveying crew or performing as a lead worker when the crew chief is absent.
