My client is a well-established machinery manufacturer specializing in the design and build of automated production equipment. They are looking to add a number of experienced Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to their team to support the assembly, wiring, and testing of complex industrial systems.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role working closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to build high-quality automated machinery from start to finish.
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will have the following attributes:
3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly for industrial or automated machinery.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble precision components and subassemblies.
Skilled in electrical wiring, cable routing, and connecting motors, sensors, and control panels.
Familiar with pneumatic components, actuators, and related systems.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Competent in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment.
Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality workmanship.

The Manufacturing Technician I supports the day-to-day manufacturing operations through the conversion of raw materials into finished products at a medical cannabis facility. Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast; with offices located throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
GMC has an opening for a Coastal Engineering Technical Leader that will use extensive industry knowledge and heightened strategic planning abilities to assist in making decisions that can promote company growth and support on-going projects across our company footprint. The ideal candidate will be able to work in one of our coastal offices to include Tampa, Pensacola, Savannah, Charleston or New Orleans.
The preferred candidate will have a strong track record of winning and executing coastal engineering projects related to shore protection, navigation, hazards, infrastructure, resilience, and/or marina/port/waterfront development.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
Ability to build and manage a successful team
Develops broad knowledge of the design process and understands Company standards
Produce a set of plans with minimal instructions from others
Assists with developing standards and guidelines
Prepares scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments
Independently performs most assignments
Interacts and develops relationships with regulatory personnel and clients
Expresses a keen understanding of the industry and the expectations of the client
Demonstrates the leadership required for effective team contributions to the firm's success including contributions to client relationships and opportunity generation.
Is technically responsible as related to overall planning and project development
Manage client satisfaction for assigned clients or projects
Leads the development of projects from opportunity analysis and building marketing proposals through maintaining client satisfaction for future opportunities
Represent the firm in all aspects of projects and assignments to prospective employees, clients, and the communities we serve
Possess effective oral and written communication skills
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key officials or other organizations, and is skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
Spends time outside of the office generating opportunities, developing relationships within their community
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience
Professional Engineering license
Master's Degree (or higher) in Civil/Coastal Engineering

Students are offered a weekly introductory hydraulics course and the the opportunity to see how the different safety engineering classes are applied in a manufacturing and engineering business. Toward the end of the internship, we ask interns to give presentations suggesting improvements that they may have identified during the defined project.
Qualifications:
Hands on, self-motivated students from industrial safety, environmental, and industrial engineering programs are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate and graduate students that have had fluid power or hydraulics course work are especially encouraged to apply. Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is useful, but not necessary. Our preference is for students who have an interest in a safety engineering career working in Florida.
Responsibilities:
* Analysis of machines and equipment to produce Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
* Apply requirements and standards from NFPA 70E and OSHA to the safety of operations in the manufacturing process
* Assist in revising safety procedures and work instructions
* Assist in performing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for accidents and injuries
* Participation in course training and Safety Committee Meetings
The three-month, summer internship is the beginning step toward future employment at Sun Hydraulics after graduating from your designated program.
