Duties and responsibilities Testing Concrete for Air Content, Slump, and Temperature. Making concrete cylinders/beams in the field for early or 28-day acceptance. Nuclear Gauge Density Testing on Soil and Aggregate bases. Using core drill to cut concrete cores on various pavements. Measuring, trimming, and capping concrete cores. Perform Concrete Plant Inspections Sample aggregates and soils at jobsites, concrete plants, and quarries. Break cylinders and cores for strength determination. Maintain and calibrate company owned testing equipment. Filling out, documenting, and submitting all reports that correlates with the above duties and responsibilities as required by the Owner. Our Draught Quality Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our draught beer. They travel to bars and restaurants to maintain draft beer systems and clean lines on a set schedule, and they also are responsible for maintaining the draught equipment we own that is used for special events. They also assist with training bar and restaurant staff in proper pouring techniques, changing kegs, and making minor adjustments to keep the beer flowing the way it was intended to. The best person for this job is someone who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty and enjoys troubleshooting. As a Quality Control Technician, you will assist leadership in responding to company Quality Response Teams (QRTs) by maintaining all quality databases that include repair and QRT information. Complete Quality Department SOP training with existing and new Quality staff and facilitate estimates, scheduling and revised billing of QRTs. Essential Functions: Investigate all customer QRT concerns and provide research leadership. Document all discussions and e-mail history in the QRT database. Responsibilities As an Engineer Intern you may have the opportunity to work in the following areas: Transportation Environmental (water/wastewater) Structural Civil Site Design Rail Surveying Construction Administration and Observation Landscape Architecture Project experiences may include: On-the-job training for a variety of engineering activities Operating in a learning capacity, gaining knowledge of general processes and procedures Basic drafting skills and techniques. Working with engineer or higher level technician in full plan development. Performing a variety of routine tasks that provide experience and familiarity with engineering staff, methods, practices and programs. Learning on the job about miscellaneous survey activities and the operation GPS and conventional survey equipment. Operating in a learning capacity, gaining knowledge of general construction observation processes and procedures and field tests, such as materials testing, through on-the-job training. Exposure working with a wide range of internal staff such as Landscape Architects, Engineers, Field Surveyors and Design Technicians to external staff such as architects, contractors, utility/facility personnel and/or public clients. Work on a full range of assignments in various project phases. In-office planning and design work and out of office field investigations and site visits. Compile data and perform other basic engineering design calculations. Civil engineering majors preferred. Experience: 0-6 months experience. Experience in MS Office Suite required. Experience or exposure with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and/or Civil 3D software preferred. Travel Expectations: Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state on occasion, which usually would consist of field work on construction projects, visiting other company locations, attending business meetings. Engineer Intern travels in company vehicle or personal vehicle. Minimum travel is 10% of the time depending on projects. Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
