ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Inspect manufactured product for dimensional consistency, workmanship and finish.
• Maintains the flow of product through inspection in a timely manner meeting due dates for outside processes and customer deliveries.
• Inspects incoming materials for conformance to requirements, reviews certifications for conformance, issues DMR or NCMR in our ERP system if needed.
• Performs In-process inspection.
• Reviews certification packages for product and releases for shipment in ERP system.
• Files electronic data on server and maintains accurate and orderly certification files in QA.
• Assists the lead Inspector and department manager as needed..
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
• Quality Inspection Experience (2 to 4 years) - Strongly Preferred
• High attention to detail and consistency
• Experience with basic measuring equipment such as callipers or micrometres and other common inspection tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
• Experience in a smaller production environment
• Some experience with Visual Measuring Systems desired

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Mechatronics Technician I job for our direct client in Danbury, CT. This is a 2nd Shift position. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of integrated mechanical, electrical, and automated systems used in manufacturing operations. Working as part of the Production Maintenance Team, you will collaborate with senior technicians to diagnose and resolve issues, support equipment upgrades, and ensure work meets all safety and quality standards.
Mechatronics Technician I (2nd Shift) Job Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, robotics, conveyors, and control systems
Perform basic diagnostic tests on mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
Work under the guidance of senior technicians to resolve technical issues
Monitor and improve machine performance through data collection and analysis
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, and parts inventories
Ensure all work complies with company safety and quality standards
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills
Qualifications:
Associate degree, diploma, or certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Technology, or related field; or 1-3 years of equivalent, relevant experience
Foundational knowledge of mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
Basic experience with tools and equipment used for electrical and mechanical repairs
Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights up to 40 ft, and in confined spaces
Experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise
Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and on-call work as required

The Mechatronics Techniction 1 is part of the Production Maintenance Team and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager, Americas and bears full responsiblity for all agreed upon goals and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, automated machinery, robotics, conveyors, and control systems.

REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree, diploma, or certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field

The base pay for this position ranges from $30 - $35 hourly with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee's annual base salary.
