This position is on Naval Base Kitsap Bangor in Silverdale, WA, working in a Navy Calibration Laboratory in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. This position offers shift flexibility, company provided training, with some travel required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have completed a formal related course of study in trade through either a community college, technical or trade school, military training, formal company training program or an apprentice program and must have 1+ years of verifiable experience as an electrician in an industrial environment i.e., shipbuilding, ship repair or nuclear power plants. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain a security badge for all military installations and civilian shipyards. EQUIPMENT: Voltmeters Amp Meters Megaohm Meters Power Analyzers Fiber light loss meters General Hand Tools KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER ABILITIES: Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written technical instructions and manuals, make working diagrams, circuits, electrical systems, circuits, controls, instruments and equipment. Must possess working knowledge of shipboard operating requirements. Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets (MDS). Must understand Navsea standard items. Able to follow safety procedures.
