**Job Description:**
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.
**Job Overview:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **EngineeringTechnician** ** ** to join our team! In this role you will get to perform such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Assists with site preparation work for voice switches at Enroute Centers and Terminal TRACONs.
+ Assists with Fiber Optics Terminal System (FOTS) installation at various sites throughout the USA.
+ Assists with electronics installations, integration and testing for rehoming and monitoring the AFSS radios to the selected Enroute and Terminal Air Traffic, installs other Radio Control Equipment (RCE) such as VHF and UHF radio communication systems to transmit and receive radio messages, as well as electrical power panels; conduit; cableways; control cables; duct banks; AC power panels; racks for various FAA systems.
+ Removes and repairs or replaces components, wires, wire bundles, terminal blocks, and/or connectors.
+ Solders, splices, or otherwise installs/repairs various wire types including coaxial, shielded, solid, and stranded wires.
+ Tests and trouble-shots electrical components by applying the theory of operation of transistors, solid state components, integrated circuits, motors, servos, power transmissions, and other electrical devices utilizing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, color codes, publications, and other technical data.
+ Trouble-shots, repairs, aligns, and calibrates audio equipment and voice communication systems to the component level, utilizing schematics, theory of operation, general and system specific test equipment.
+ Installs sensors, wires, cabling, computers, radios, and satellites in an unpredictable, fast paced environment in all weather conditions.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ High school diploma is required.
+ 5+ years' experience with testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installation of Fiber Optics, other Radio Control Systems (RCE) and other complex electronics equipment
+ May require repetitive movement such as lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing.
+ Climb towers, may be as high as 50 ft., is a must.
+ Basic Microsoft suite and Internet, and E-mail.

We are seeking a self-motivated and effective Field Service Technician that can under limited supervision, install, test, calibrate and repair instrumentation for our customers. Must be capable on installing, programming, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing analyzers, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and especially flowmeters of all types and associated loops and controls. Uses electronic test equipment and calibration equipment on both energized and de-energized electrical circuits. Must have a working knowledge of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, computer networks, programmable logic controller (PLC) systems, telemetry, instrumentation and variable frequency drive and motor control center installations.
Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

You will use your electrical knowledge and technical skills to understand blueprints/schematics in order to safely and efficiently install the customer's generator.

Your performance will be assessed based on your ability to complete each job in a safe, timely, accurate manner which meets or exceeds customer expectations.
