Quality Assurance Technician Contract: Direct hire, permanent Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 4:00pm - 2:30 AM Pay Range: $19-$22/hour (open to discuss based on experience) Role Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician has the primary responsibility for protecting the food by conducting food safety and quality sampling, testing, and documentation to meet all regulatory, customer, and food requirements. The QA Technician is responsible for conducting food safety and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with best practices for food safety and quality. The QA Technician reports to the QA Manager. Key Responsibilities Ability to develop, write, and maintain plant SOP program. Responsible for meeting all applicable food and supplement regulations (international, national, state, and local). Responsible for sampling, testing, and documentation of the procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Works to maintain the safety, legality, and quality of each food and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for meeting and exceeding customer requirements. Works to reduce customer/consumer complaints for supplements manufactured on site. Reports safety and quality issues to plant leadership. Authorized to hold products based on food safety or quality non-conformance. Participates in daily food evaluation to identify possible defects. Participates in physical inspections on a weekly basis in each area (pest control, operational methods, maintenance for food safety, sanitation, personnel practices, etc.). Selects food items for analysis at specific stages in the production process for evaluating compliance to specification. Able to use the following instrumentation/measuring devices: Thermometers, Metal detectors, X-ray devices, Calculators, Scales, Gauges, Calipers, Rulers, Moisture analyzers, Ovens. Responsible for assuring materials are received from approved suppliers and conducts raw material supplier performance monitoring. Participates in the Environmental Monitoring Programs (i.e., collecting swab samples, using the ATP system). Able to print finished supplement case labels. Ensures appropriate communication of food safety/QA issues with Production. Other duties may be assigned, and QA Technician is expected to effectively manage and execute changes. Qualifications Effective work ethic and good communications skills. Required: College coursework and experience in the food industry. Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points). Training in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF. Good writing, mathematics, and critical thinking skills. Experience in computers including spreadsheets. Continuous improvement experience. cGMP Process development and compliance enforcement. Regularly required to climb, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. This is a field position that requires out-of-town assignments, including working 6-7 days per week and staying in hotels for extended periods. All travel expenses are covered for out-of-town assignments. What You'll Be Doing Remote Electronics Support (Primary Responsibility) Support escape rooms nationwide by diagnosing and resolving electronic and control system issues Take inbound tickets and calls from stores and guide teams through real-time troubleshooting Walk technicians and game staff through fixing sensors, wiring, locks, lights, motors, power, and control boards Use schematics, system knowledge, and logical isolation to identify root causes quickly Hands-On Technical Troubleshooting Diagnose low-voltage and mixed AC/DC electrical systems used in interactive games Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control layouts Troubleshoot PLC-driven or logic-based systems (reading and debugging, not heavy programming) Identify failed components, wiring faults, power issues, or configuration errors Onsite & Emergency Support Travel for onsite repairs when remote troubleshooting isn't sufficient Respond to high-impact or emergency issues to restore gameplay Coordinate repairs with third-party vendors when needed Partner with Operations and Store Leaders to execute efficient action plans while onsite Safety & Standards Ensure all electrical troubleshooting and repairs are completed safely Advise stores on safe tool usage and electrical best practices Identify unsafe conditions and escalate immediately Support incident reporting and guide stores through weather-related closures Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Track issues, fixes, and resolutions in Zendesk Maintain clear documentation for recurring problems and system improvements Act as a technical knowledge resource for both current and legacy escape room systems Continuous Improvement Work cross-functionally to improve reliability and maintainability of escape room electronics Provide feedback based on real-world failures and guest impact Help shape better standards, tools, and support processes over time Requirements Qualifications A degree in EE, EET, Applied Electronics, etc, Experience with PLC coding, or strong ability to read / troubleshoot Experience working with various AC/DC Voltages Experience working with low voltage electronics. We are seeking highly capable Test Technicians to serve as the first line of defense for an early-stage robotic system. This role involves close monitoring, data capture, troubleshooting, and execution of defined test plans. In each testing site, two technicians will be staffed: an Operator and a Data Technician. Both technicians share responsibilities for safety, fault recovery, and communication with the engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting new technology in an active operational environment. Responsibilities * Operate a large robotic system using a tablet interface and dashboard controls. * Follow structured test plans developed by the engineering team. * Perform step-by-step tasks from on-device checklists. * Move the robot safely, monitor surroundings, and prevent collisions or equipment damage. * Execute commands, reset key frames, and recover from basic system faults. * Inspect packages for damage, drops, or abnormalities. * Capture photos, videos, and notes related to test outcomes. * Log results into spreadsheets, auditing tools (e.g., Apollo), or other data systems. * Track system performance metrics and anomalies throughout each test cycle. * Perform first-level troubleshooting using on-device guidance. * Identify environmental blockers such as uneven trailer floors, protruding screws, or obstructions. * Collaborate with RMEs for on-site mechanical fixes when needed. * Escalate more advanced control-system or electrical issues to engineering. * Work directly with engineers to resolve complex problems. * Replace minor wear components (e.g., shovel-type parts) using basic hand tools. * Work alongside local RME teams for larger maintenance or trailer adjustments. * Ensure the robot is reset, safe, and operational after fault events. * Serve as on-site eyes and ears for the engineering team. * Communicate findings, faults, patterns, and environmental variables. * Participate in remote troubleshooting with engineering partners. * Coordinate with other test locations and technicians as testing progresses. Job Description The Spring Engineer Technician will be responsible for reading blueprints to set up and maintain various machines in proper working order that comply with existing company policies of product quality assurance. 5+ years of experience with ITAYA Spring Forming Equipment preferred. Read and follow Quality Control charts and make necessary adjustments to machines in order to comply with existing company policies of product quality assurance. Ability to detect problems while machine is in operation. Can complete complex set-ups and make difficult adjustments on a wide variety of machines in the department. Use comparator and other equipment to test parts for quality. Test parts using Statistical Process Control (SPC). Make and read SPC charts. Check loads and rate of springs and make necessary adjustments. Ensure that parts produced are within the customer's tolerance limits. Train lower-level employees in using and understanding SPC. Lifting requirement up to 45lbs. JOB SKILLS: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred. Perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately. Ability to operate machine shop equipment such as drill press, engine lathe, surface grinder and milling machine. Ability to use machine shop tools such as a micrometer and caliper accurately. Be able to understand the difference in types of springs produced and differences in the types of wires used in production. Knowledge of proper oven temperatures for stress relieving and the effect stress relieving has on different types of wire materials. Ability to be on time, dependable and reliable. The Engineering Technician IV serves as a critical technical resource supporting the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Tennessee.
