I&C Technician performs installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration tasks on Company's gas measurement equipment including but not limited to large meters, meter indexes/instrumentation and volume correctors, industrial AMR devices, and SCADA equipment. Performs accuracy testing and performs calibration adjustments on gas measurement equipment such as meter instrumentation and meter volume correctors; Completes maintenance and calibration adjustments, as needed, on SCADA field equipment; Verifies programming configuration of SCADA Remote Terminal Units, electronic meter correctors, and industrial AMR units. Responds to industrial AMR (Automated Meter Reading) system dropped/disconnected calls, making repairs to AMR or telecommunication equipment as required. Plans, monitors and performs preventative maintenance as determined and scheduled during testing. Tracks maintenance schedules in the Work Management System (WMS). Performs emergency response maintenance as needed, conducting on-site troubleshooting and corrective measures to gas measurement equipment. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the communication link between field devices and corporate database servers. Constructs new facilities and installs modifications to existing facilities according to PGS Engineering designs and instructions. Works with division and corporate personnel in the installation of electrical and electronic interfaces for SCADA, telemetry, electronic measurement, chromatograph and odorization systems. Replaces field electronic equipment to insure effective integration. Completes all required calibration documentation utilizing the work management system and ensures procedures follow accepted engineering principles and company policies and procedures. Ensures all field facilities related to gas distribution and transmission pipelines comply with Federal, State and local electrical codes.
