Provide engineering support to drive continuous improvement and meet daily production objectives. Complete projects, activities and initiatives that impact the achievement of OEE and Yield targets. The Engineering Technician role is a hands-on position that, especially outside of business hours, will be expected to work rather independently to accomplish its projects and tasks, while knowing when and how to escalate.
Responsibilities:
Drive troubleshooting and problem-solving activities when equipment breakdowns
Collect and analyze data, inspect products and processes, conduct tests, assist with research and development, and records results
Provide advanced training to Tech II's and III's, including but not limited to developing troubleshooting training guides
Create, update, and maintain Work Instructions, Work Standards, PFMEAs, Control Plans, PFDs (Troubleshooting Guide), Quality Alerts, Change Order, OPL (One Point Lessons) and Visual Standards
Follow 4M changes
Lead line change-overs, verify proper function and quality is met
Confirm line parameters match standards
Initiate and foster cooperation/communication within and between departments and shifts
Achieve KPI's: OEE, Yield and Project targets
Monitor machine operation, diagnose machine/process issues and make machine adjustments
Work on continuous process improvements to ensure the line is operating at its designed level
Run queries to troubleshoot issues and keep machines running properly
Write reports of daily machine activity, machine issues, and improvement actions
Test, inspect machines/equipment to assist the engineer in corrective action of production problems
Help develop methods and devices used in the prevention and control of the process
Adhere to company, team and safety rules/requirements at all times, including clean room rules and PPE standards
Participate and successfully complete all training requirements
Lead the FPI (First Production Inspection) process and documentations
Quality issue monitoring, root cause finding, corrective action implementation
Monitor the SPC system and verify the flags
Monitor RMS (Recipe Management System), response flags and verify the machine setting on time
Manage the hold material (tracking, reviewing, inputting, reflect to yield)
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP's during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
