This position performs functions associated with all wafer production operations, including photolithography, thin film, etch, BGBM and diffusion. Performs set-up, calibration and preventative maintenance tasks on wafer fabrication equipment. Multiple compressed workweek shifts available, see below.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Operates & evaluates all process and metrology equipment within assigned area, upon successful completion of certification by trainer and engineer.
Assures equipment meets all qualification and maintenance schedules as required by specification before processing product.
Evaluates both product and qualification wafers through measurement and/or visual inspection. Responsible for accurate entry of that data into workstream system for assessment of processing using SPC controls.
Escalates any failure of product and/or qualification wafers to engineering for evaluation.
Escalates any process or metrology equipment errors to the equipment technicians for repair and recovery.
Follows safe work practices and procedures to assure the safety of oneself and others, Escalates any safety violations or concerns to supervisor to address.
Responsible for proper disposal of any and all waste generated on site as required by Cleanroom Protocol specification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to carry pods weighing up to 12 pounds using two hands repetitively over a 12 hour period. Must be able to pick pods from and place pods to storage racks ranging in height from the knees to the shoulders.
Must be able to push/pull carts of pods ranging from 50 to 100 pounds as necessary for transport of material from one area to the next.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended time periods during a 12 hour shift.
Must be able to comply with clean room specifications that require all technicians to wear a clean room suit, including hood, mask, protective eye-wear and clean room boots.
Manual process areas (CMP, Sort, BGBM) also required to grasp cassette handle with one hand while supporting cassette, weighing up to 12 pounds, with the other hand to manually load process equipment in the area.
Temp to hire opening 6-12 months, conversion based on company needs. This position will be staffed by an existing agency partner.

The Hardware Engineering Technician IV will be part of an engineering team developing power management hardware in Nickel-Zinc (NiZn) battery backup systems for multiple industries. They will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical tests on engineering prototypes and preproduction units under the guidance of Engineers and Project managers. The selected candidate will also be supporting the development of electrical architecture and design, integration and debugging of new electrical hardware and firmware, and validation of the design in a structured engineering environment. This role will work on-site at ZincFive HQ in Tualatin, Oregon and will report to the Technical Engineering Manager.
Hardware Engineering Technician IV Job Duties:
Assemble prototypes of battery packs, Battery Management Systems (BMSs) and Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems
Create and assemble test fixtures
Modify circuits as directed by the engineers
Provide feedback during the prototype assembly process, calling out manufacturability issues early in the design process.
Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of prototype parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and record results
Test and monitor the performance of electrical circuits as designed by engineers
Help with electrical schematic capture and Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance
Setup and perform reliability tests on various key system components.
Participate in failure root cause analysis and support the corrective actions implementation
Perform hardware and software design verification and validation testing
Job Requirements:
Associate's degree in applied science, Electronics
4+ years of experience
Aptitude in the use of hand tools for mechanical assembly, electrical soldering, and wiring
Experience in prototype assembly, testing and documentation
Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Experience with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multi Meters (DMMs), Power Analyzers, Signal Generators etc.
Familiarity with Altium or similar schematic capture program
Experience working in an engineering test Lab and product development environment

Essential Functions
