This is skilled work in technical analysis, design and engineering project management in the Storm Water Management Division of the Public Works Department. In the event of a natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee may be required to perform emergency duties as directed. Performs data collection including asset condition, turbidity sampling, stream gauging and surveying. Performs office research and field investigation of drainage inquiries with written and verbal response to superiors and public on same. Assists, directs and performs data collection from, maintenance on, programming and installation of automated data collection equipment. Builds, maintains, manages and enters facility data into databases and models. Prepares reports from applicable databases. Coordinates with other agencies to acquire and add data to Martin County databases. Prepares and/or directs preparation of design plans and drawings. Investigates, responds and resolves public inquiries. Performs work related to this job description as required.
