General Purpose of the Job

The primary purpose of the position is to manage and support new model activities. The position will also assist production as directed by the New Model Manager. Must be willing to Travel Domestically / Internationally. This Position also includes, but are not limited to, those set forth below.

This position is expected to move between New Model/UPS and other Engineering division departments at the direction of supervision. This skill-rotation concept is intended to return a high level of experience and knowledge to production support departments after a new model launch.

Assist quality with part type layout and changes made to all parts.
Work with and support manufacturing and engineering departments as directed by the New Model Manager.
Must have a strong ability to understand and change PLC and Robot programs. Robot teaching is a must.

Work safely and ensure equipment function meets ANSI and OSHA requirements. Maintain a safe work environment.

**Where the Chemistry Happens**

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the technical scope of the MDI Process Area for the Geismar MDI Expansion project. This project group has an investment value of more than $700M and will significantly expand the capacity for MDI production in North America. In this role you will be an important technical point of contact for both the internal and external engineering teams charged with designing and building the new plant. In addition, you will both advise and lead precommissioning and commissioning activities for the new assets as they are built. Finally, in this role you will be an owner of the process safety design and implementation for the MDI process area, this includes leading safety reviews, tracking management of change implementation and directing pre-startup safety reviews.

+ Leveraging your bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Engineering Disciple, Chemical Engineering, or related field you will be responsible for MDI Process Design Development, including support of P&ID's and PFD's.
