Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical circuits for lighting and equipment in plant operations. No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains, calibrates and troubleshoots all process flow meters, gas monitoring and flow recording equipment. Maintains and operates Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) - minor programming will be used Removes and repairs/rebuilds electric motors/systems for various machines and equipment. Troubleshoots relay and control circuits for variable speed drives as well as soft-start and starter systems. Troubleshoots complicated relay and control circuits for electrical systems that may incorporate the use of fluid or pneumatics. Locates and replace defective wiring. Installs new equipment and orders parts for electrical equipment, lighting systems and switches. Assists other electricians as needed. Maintains shop inventory. Monitors and coordinates (through supervisory approval) the installation of new electrical systems with engineers, contractors, and manufacturers' technicians.
