Aviation Business Solutions - Senior Engagement Leader
Boeing's Aviation Business Solutions (ABS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engagement Leader specializing in commercial airline Engineering and Technical Services.
This dynamic and rewarding position is within the ABS Profit and Loss (P&L) business where Engagement Leaders build discrete and unique projects and services within the aviation ecosystem. This specific position reports to the M&E Practice Principal, however the role is a semi-autonomous one where the Engagement Leader independently pursues opportunities by working directly with customers to understand their challenges and, utilizing their experience, creativity and entrepreneurial skills, develops actionable proposals to address their problems and add value to their business operations. Being a P&L, it is critical that our Senior Engagement Leaders are credible experts in the businesses we support; the ability to listen to our customers' problems, understand the underlying business challenges and processes, develop customized solutions that provide value to the customer, and execute on these projects is core to our mission. This work requires effective communication at all levels of management, from the C-Suite to front-line employees.
Sr. Engagement Leaders in the M&E Practice must possess the experience and knowledge of an airline Maintenance & Engineering senior leader to be able to properly communicate, understand the customer problems and issues, and develop solutions that will deliver the value the customer expects. Our current team of high-caliber Engagement Leaders work collaboratively to leverage Boeing's unique Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vast span of technical knowledge and aircraft expertise, including those of our strategic suppliers, to deliver operational and technical solutions to globally diverse aviation operators (Commercial and Business Aviation), domestic and foreign governments, airports, and maintenance providers. Our core business strategy is to assist and support our customers in developing or improving their business processes to achieve optimal performance including the business transformations and change management necessary to sustain that performance.
Specific business specialty areas within ABS include:
Maintenance and Engineering (M&E) - this is the primary expertise required for this specific job
Operational Technology and ICS Cyber Security
Aviation Operations (flight and ground)
Managed Engineering Services

For this reason, we expect our employees to be self-motivated, work with a high level of integrity and a minimum of supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
The core responsibility of the Sr. Engagement Leader includes the comprehensive activities of being the direct technical interface with the customer and building trust in our capabilities, understanding their unique problems and identifying custom solutions, developing the Statements of Work, negotiating our contracts and ensuring we complete the projects in terms of quality, schedule and budget. This is not a pure Project Manager role, it requires a deep airline business understanding and the associated experience to work directly with our customers and ensure trust in our knowledge, experience and ability to perform the agreed upon statement of work.
Prospecting
Building direct relationships with team leaders and members within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) / Boeing Global Services (BGS) Sales and Marketing
