Summary:
The main function of a mechanical technician is to modify, test and repair machinery and equipment under direction of engineering staff or physical scientists. A mechanical technician helps engineers design, test, and manufacture industrial machinery, consumer products and other equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare parts sketches and write work orders and purchase requests to be furnished by outside contractors.
Draft detail drawing or sketch for drafting room completion or to request parts fabrication by machine, sheet or wood shops.
Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, and objectives, and test nature of technical problems such as redesign.
Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and testing.
Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections.
Inspect lines and figures for clarity and return erroneous drawings to designer for correction.
Evaluate tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimensions and comparing with original specifications for form and function using engineering skills.
Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance.
Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.

Demonstrate the ability to interpret 2d drawings of both mechanical and controls assembly to include controls wiring diagram and pneumatic controls logic diagrams. Electrical wiring diagram familiarity is essential.
Ability to mechanically assemble various tools and special machines using pneumatic and electrical components in the construction of the machine system. Some light mechanical assembly such as drilling and tapping may also be required in the event support for that function is requested.
Support build and validation of systems which include pneumatics, servos, vfd's, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, pushbuttons, and robotic integration.
Able to provide controls assembly support both internal to Invio and onsite at customers as needed. This would include but not be limited to internal customer buyoff events and offsite customer install or service as needed.
Must be able to travel within the continental US/North America.
Provide onsite support to our customers as needed sometimes with little to no notice for required travel. Overtime may be a requirement at the request of the customer.

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Lab Manager, the Engineering Lab Technician is responsible for supporting product development and testing initiatives by conducting experiments, analyzing results, and maintaining lab equipment. This role ensures all testing and data collection is carried out accurately and efficiently in accordance with company standards and industry best practices. The Engineering Lab Technician plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and performance through thorough testing and documentation.
Key responsibilities include preparing and executing tests for materials and components, recording and analyzing test results, maintaining laboratory tools and equipment, and adhering to all safety protocols. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to support research, development, and continuous improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
* Refrigeration system design, build-up, and qualification testing as required to support new product development initiatives and mature product maintenance.
* Prototype cabinet fabrication using Model Shop and equipment as required to support product development projects.
* Maintenance of Lab test chambers, computer data acquisition system, and Model Shop equipment.
* Assist with Lab test equipment calibration per schedule.
* Participate in agency audits with other lab staff of products and test facilities.
* Provide manufacturing support as required for product assembly, work instructions, operator training, and on-line safety / performance testing.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Associates degree in HVAC is a plus. Trade school certification in carpentry, construction, or related field (preferred but not required).
* Team Player: the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Carpentry skills.
* You will play a key role in assembling, constructing, and installing custom fixtures for our products.
* Experience with Finishing: Experience with painting, staining, or finishing fixtures to meet aesthetic requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Support daily functions including, but not limited to:
Install electric circuits (wiring) for various electrical accessories including lighting, automatic salting controls, sensors, and switches
Utilize prints and diagrams electrical systems in truck build-up processes

Required Skills/Abilities:
