Summary:
The Demo Manufacturing Technician plays a critical role in supporting Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing Engineering by managing product demo inventory and ensuring high-quality demonstration units. This position is responsible for creating and refurbishing demo kits, setting up and tearing down in-house product demonstrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional product experiences. The role also involves hands-on work with manufacturing processes, including equipment setup, calibration, preventative maintenance, and reworking devices for demo use. Additionally, the technician can contribute to process validations, engineering builds, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate process data in SPC systems.
In This Role, You Will:
Maintain product demo inventory for different SKUs
Support Sales and Marketing by assisting in the creation/refurbishment of product demos kits to showcase product capabilities.
Support Sales and Marketing by assisting in the creation/refurbishment of advanced product demo kits to showcase product capabilities.
Support Sales and Marketing by assisting in the set-up and teardown of in-house product demonstrations.
Support Sales and Marketing by working with materials to procure demo kit components
Investigate and rework devices as applicable on the manufacturing line to good usable devices or convert them to demonstration units.
Assist in equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
Support process validations, engineering builds, and continuous improvement activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Marketing, Sales)
Input and maintain process data into Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to support monitoring, analysis, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Help with Engineering projects.
Represent Manufacturing Engineering in the Controlled Environment Room (CER)

Education: High School Education

Experience: One (1) year of technical experience in civil engineering, drafting, surveying, inspections, or a related field.
Education: One year of post-secondary education including coursework in areas such as computer aided drafting, engineering technology, and mathematics (e.g. algebra, geometry, trigonometry).
An Associate's degree in mathematics, drafting, AutoCAD, GIS, engineering or related field is preferred.
EngineeringTechnician II
Experience: Three years' work experience as an EngineeringTechnician I at Solano Irrigation District.
Education: Equivalent to completion of an Associate's degree with course work in mathematics, drafting, AutoCAD, GIS, engineering or related field.
Licenses and Certification

THE POSITION
To coordinate and perform advanced paraprofessional and highly technical field and office engineering work in one or more of the functional areas of the City's Departments. IDEAL CANDIDATE
The City of Woodland Development Services Engineering Branch is seeking a positive and motivated individual with a general interest in public works and construction inspection to support the Development Services Engineering/Encroachment Permitting program.

Provide general information to other City departments, the public, development community and other government agencies. Prepare for review by senior staff policies and procedures for processing requests of the City for City services to facilitate development projects. Determine and oversee field material testing of samples of materials routinely used in construction projects. (For example, concrete, asphalts, soils, etc.) Monitor operational tests on civil, mechanical and electrical systems. Perform pneumatic and hydrostatic test of piping systems as appropriate. Coordinate right-of-way planning and acquisition for public improvement projects such as streets, storm drains, sewers, water works, traffic and other public work projects. Prepare and assist with presentations to City Council, various Commissions and local interest groups. Share in the responsibility for a sound safety program; promptly report unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor. Prepare data for as-built utilizing GPS equipment, recording changes, dimensions, etc. Regular, predictable, consistent and timely attendance is an essential function of the position, in that the Employee must be present to completed assigned tasks. QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:
Two (2) years of experience performing duties comparable to those of a City of Woodland EngineeringTechnician II or seven (7) years of increasingly complex paraprofessional engineering experience within the Department or approved comparable experience.
Education:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented with at least six (6) months of college level coursework in drafting, algebra, geometry, chemistry, trigonometry, or related field.
Additional coursework in civil engineering, construction technology, land development, project management or a closely related field from an accredited college is highly desirable.
License or Certificate
Specialty certification such as Construction Management, Project Management, Transportation Management, Land Use and Environmental Planning, or the equivalent is desired.
Requires possession of a valid California driver's license upon hire.

Assist our Operational Team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance through performing weekly Merchant Preflights to understand any service-related issues, provide operational and troubleshooting assistance related to Starship-provided devices, and act as a Starship brand representative while interacting with clients.
Occasionally support our Operational Service team by assisting with Robot field rescues or operational services tasks when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Tracy Maintenance Control Technician - 2nd Shift Pay Rate: 46.05 an Hour The Instrument Technician (Controls) is responsible for installing, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining equipment. The Instrument Technician is also responsible for the safe repair and troubleshooting of malfunctioning mechanical, electrical or instrumentation systems, the calibration of instruments, maintaining 5s standards in work areas and tool boxes, and performing mechanical, preventive and predictive maintenance. This position is an active member of the hazmat response team.
Responsibilities
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role; associates or 2-year degree in a maintenance related field is preferred
* Experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication
* Mechanical repairs (including rebuilding of gearboxes and process equipment) experience
* PLC trouble shooting experience; experience with AC frequency drives and instrumentation
* Basic knowledge of utility equipment and operations (e.g. boiler and refrigeration equipment)
* Dairy/food manufacturing experience
* Knowledge of government and industrial regulations (e.g. PSM, OSHA, and USDA)
* Computer proficiency in email, internet, Microsoft Office software, and computerized maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP)
Qualifications
Minimum:
* Prior experience in a similar role with electrical background; experience of pneumatics, electrical controls, and schematic reading
* Must be able to understand/adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
* Must be able to communicate effectively with others, complete required documentation both in written and electronic form, and to troubleshoot systems

Work under a Microscope to Test, Tune and Align subassemblies per customer specifications.
Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
Determines test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
May assist with customer demonstrations and inspections of in-process production items.
Works with Engineering or Senior Technicians to assist in solving technical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Associates degree (A.S) with electronics major.
· Must have Experience or Education, and a comprehensive knowledge of RF and Microwave theory.

As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, designers, and BIM leads to execute work on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure projects.
* Assist in the preparation of engineering and design deliverables including drawings, specifications, technical memoranda, reports, schedules, and figures.
* Communicate effectively and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., drafters, designers, engineers).
* Perform edits and updates in Revit and AutoCAD models based on engineering changes and markups.
* Participate in the full project lifecycle, including design, documentation, and construction support.
* Conduct field work such as site investigations and construction observations as needed.
* Support data-related tasks including entry, analysis, visualization, and documentation to inform design decisions.
* Check design deliverables for consistency, readability, and adherence to standards and specifications.
* Provide engineering services during construction, including performance checks and conformity assessments.
* Manage and deliver assignments on time, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
* Complete an Internship Capstone project demonstrating skill development, learning, and accomplishments gained during the summer internship experience.
Work schedule and location: Summer Interns with Brown and Caldwell work a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week and may have the potential for hybrid work schedules and fieldwork

What Must Our Candidate Have? (Required)
* To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled as a student seeking a degree in engineering (Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field), science, geology, or a related field.
* You must be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026.
* You also must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Salary Range: The hourly pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

About the Internship FORTÉ's 10-12-week paid Field Engineering & AV Integration Internship provides hands-on experience that supports the installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems at FORTÉ. Interns will gain exposure to real job sites, learn foundational installation techniques, support field service and maintenance activities, and begin developing early programming proficiency under the guidance of experienced Field Engineers.
What You Will Be Doing
Assisting installation teams with equipment mounting, rack building, wiring, labeling, and system termination
Learning how to read and follow system diagrams, wiring schedules, and installation documentation
Supporting system configuration, device setup, firmware updates, and basic DSP/control system loading
Collaborating with project management, engineering, and installation teams to understand the full project lifecycle
Shadowing Field Engineers to understand installation workflows, on-site coordination, and customer communication
Observing and assisting with system testing, calibration, verification, and punch list resolution
Participating in service activities such as troubleshooting system issues, diagnosing failures, and replacing components
