    Electrical Engineering Technician Fully Onsite - Fridley, Minnesota 12-month contract (with potential to extend or convert FTE) **Unable to do C2C or Provide Sponsorship** We are seeking Electrical Engineering Technicians to support high-impact development, validation, and production engineering activities within a fast-paced, hands-on medical device and next-generation chip environment. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Electrical & System Testing Perform soldering, rework, and PCBA debugging. Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, etc.) for circuit testing and troubleshooting. Assist with RF communication and Bluetooth-related testing protocols. Set up and execute system-level validation and functional testing of devices. Verification & Validation Support feature/function validation for implantable systems and external stimulators. Partner with external contract manufacturers and internal R&D teams for test setup and execution. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting based on test results. Project & Tooling Support Work on tooling projects as needed: building, wiring, setting up, and modifying test tools and hardware. Support ongoing improvements to test methods and test documentation. Participate in the development and validation of next-gen chip technologies used in advanced therapies. Documentation & Reporting Accurately record test procedures, results, and modifications. Contribute to the creation and refinement of test protocols and reports to support regulatory filings and internal quality processes. Primary Projects DBS ENS (External Stimulator): A system enabling interaction between patient and surgeon during implant procedures (primary focus for some roles). Next-Gen Implantable Chip Development: Supporting innovation in miniaturized implant technology. Bluetooth Redesign Projects: Involving RF communication, PCBA testing, and functional validation. Qualifications Required: 2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/electromechanical technician roles. Strong soldering and rework experience. Familiarity with test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, etc. Comfort working independently on test setup, execution, and debugging. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Preferred: 2+ years of technician experience. Experience in RF communications, Bluetooth, or wireless systems testing. Familiarity with PCBA design, schematics, and layout. Automation experience using LabVIEW or Python. Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, semiconductor, or aerospace.     We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineering Technician to enhance our production processes. This role involves collaborating closely with Manufacturing Engineers and production teams to optimize manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment and process issues, maintaining equipment, and updating process documentation. The technician will also support engineers in project development by building or procuring test equipment and conducting tests, including process validations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and revise production documentation, such as travelers, routings, drawings, work and inspection instructions, and BOMs, ensuring the availability of accurate information for quality product assembly. Assist in improving manufacturing methods and procedures, including drafting change orders and deviations. Program production equipment effectively. Identify and resolve process, material, or equipment issues, offering solutions to minimize downtime. Design, assemble, procure, or modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for efficient production methods. Schedule, perform, and document routine maintenance on manufacturing and testing equipment. Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at various organizational levels. Contribute to team success by undertaking additional tasks as necessary. Qualifications and Skills: Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team. Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), SolidWorks or similar, and Altium or similar. Knowledge of electronics industry standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-620) is preferred. Familiarity with lean methodology is advantageous.
