The Test Equipment Engineering Technician III independently supports and leads the development, build, integration, deployment, and sustainment of complex electro-mechanical test equipment and tooling for advanced unmanned systems supporting defense and commercial applications. The role partners closely with engineering teams, provides technical leadership in fabrication and rapid prototyping, and contributes to design improvement, validation, and process optimization efforts. Responsibilities * Assemble robust metal structures such as tube frames and sheet metal. * Assemble delicate electronics assemblies, including PCBs and small-gauge wiring. * Perform soldering for assembly and repair of wires, through-hole, and surface mount components. * Conduct mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, including drilling, tapping, deburring, filing, and sanding. * Perform cable assembly, including stripping, crimping, testing, and strain relieving. * Apply good ESD practices while assembling sensitive electronic components into a system. * Engage in purchasing, inventory planning, and management. * Troubleshoot hardware issues and test equipment functionality.
