Full-time Description ECS is Seeking a HVAC Project Technician Foreman to join our Team. Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of refrigerant piping systems in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including Direct Expansion (DX) systems, for commercial projects. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that installations, repairs, and maintenance are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. The Senior Technician will monitor, observe, and sample construction materials, adhering to industry standards (ASTM, AASHTO) and project specifications. The Senior Technician will work closely with other TTL Project Technicians, project teams, providing accurate data and insights to support project success. Key Responsibilities: Field Monitoring and Testing: Observe and monitor various construction activities, including subgrade preparation, structural fill placement, proofrolling, footing excavation, reinforcement installation, and concrete/asphalt placement. Collect samples of fresh concrete and other materials for laboratory testing. Perform field density tests on soils, aggregates, and asphalt. Conduct critical inspections of construction elements such as reinforcement, post-tension elements, masonry, and wood framing to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local building codes. Ability to identify and provide some technical decisions related to project challenges. This role will play a key role in ensuring product quality and supporting process improvements through metallographic analysis. This role supports casting, rolling, and finishing operations by conducting microstructural evaluations, defect analysis, and lab-based investigations. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of the Metallographic lab, supporting the setup of lab equipment (maintenance and calibration), monitoring lab consumable inventory, reviewing and analyzing test results, supporting qualification trials, supporting continuous process improvements, and assisting in root cause investigation for plant processes or quality concerns and customer claims. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a safety role model, following Novelis Safety Absolutes and promoting a zero-injury culture. Ensure personal safety and physical and mental well-being, as well as that of colleagues and visitors in their area of expertise; use mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and guide others in its use.
