Establish, document, and refine processes to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production.
Implement changes to processes or changes to equipment to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
Halt any production run that creates an unsafe condition or is producing out of specification parts.
To ensure work instructions, process documentation and setup sheets are accurate, complete and accessible.
Verify technical data, CAD files, and engineering drawings for manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
Participate as required in product, tooling and secondary equipment design reviews to ensure manufacturability.

DUTIES:

Required Skills/Abilities:
General comprehension of, and experience in, the truck build up process
General understanding of truck components
General understanding of electrical circuits, including knowledge of laws of current flows as it relates to voltage drop in determining wire size required in various circuits
General mechanical aptitude
Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision
Ability to use hand tools
Follow all company safety rules and policies and operate equipment in a safe manner
Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions, diagrams, schematics, and prints
Ability to effectively perform job functions with input from manager and customers

Good communication skills, written and verbal
Knowledge of computers and various software programs is desirable
Knowledge of on-board truck computer controls; including electrical multiplexing and CAN Bus systems is desirable
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current regular driver's license to move our vehicles
Forklift operator certification
Overhead crane operator certification
Experience installing electric components such as lighting and controls, with and understanding of 12v relays
Knowledge and experience in efficient wiring, drilling holes, making connections, and soldering

Flashing, assembling, and testing electronic devices
Quality control of production devices
Performing basic root cause analysis on electronics
Identifying common causes of trouble such as loose connections or defective components.
Reviewing manufacturers specifications on connections and methods to locate problems.
Analyzing current equipment to identify areas of inefficiency, as well as developing instrumentation to meet those needs.
Designing and testing prototypes of equipment.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously and using time effectively
