Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Quality Control Technician will be responsible for the inspection of parts during production. Expected Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Responsibilities:
Visual and dimensional inspection of parts by removing two samples per lot and each press every hour.
Ensure quality by inspecting products during and after production to maintain high-quality standards and immediately report any defects or issues to press operators and supervisors.
Use basic computer skills to navigate and input data into production systems to track progress, document results, and communicate effectively with the team.
Help with the part-breaking operation
Measure sintered parts after the break-up and provide feedback to the supervisor
Weld parts when required.
Operate measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure products and ensure they meet company standards.
Meet daily quotas to achieve quality targets consistently and effectively, contributing to team efficiency and overall output.

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking on-site Civil Engineering Technicians to support our geotechnical engineering practice in our Providence, Rhode Island office.
As a Field Engineering Technician, you will work on a variety of exciting and challenging projects. You will primarily work out of the office at project sites, with periodic in-office duties. You will work in a close-knit group of experienced professionals who will train and mentor you, while helping you to diversify your skill set and achieve your career goals. Our success relies on a strong collaborative environment.
Between field work projects, you will work in a professional office setting in Providence, RI preparing detailed field data reports and assisting engineering staff with other technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform field tasks and assist with the technical execution of projects.
Field oversight and logging of subsurface explorations and classification of soil and bedrock in connection with foundation design and construction projects.
Soil and groundwater sampling for geotechnical and environmental analyses.
Concrete sampling and testing in accordance with ACI standards and project-specific requirements.
Perform on-site construction oversight and inspections for deep and shallow foundation construction, ground improvement, and retaining wall construction.
Perform in-place density testing of soils using Troxler nuclear moisture-density gauges.
Perform environmental sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air.
Monitor environmental remediation.
Gather data and other information to be used in the preparation of engineering deliverables.
Prepare engineering inspection reports summarizing data collected in the field.
Compile and organize data collected by others.
Conduct field and office QA/QC responsibilities.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with contractors, clients, and team members.

Special Skills/Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent education.

Strong oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Candidates should have the ability to work outdoors in all seasons through various kinds of weather and lift and use field equipment required to perform job functions.
The hourly rate for this position may range between $27.89 and $34.62. The salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
