What You'll Do Every Day

You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers and scientists and may also contribute to special projects. You will always comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas. Although the majority of your work will be in what we call the Fab or the Lab, you will also work at your desk to document statistical process control, record results, and write procedures.
You will contribute to the Quality Management System in Rochester and help OLEDWorks maintain ISO9001 and IATF certifications.

The Process Engineer - Technical Team represents the fairlife technical team at their respective base site while being available to support other sites as needed. About the Role
This team member will play a critical role within our MEP team, leading electrical system designs, performing power distribution analysis, selecting equipment, and managing the preparation of engineering documents. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, energy codes, and best practices for power, lighting, and low-voltage building systems. Responsibilities include: Lead and oversee the design of electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations for system design. Select and specify electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems, and controls. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop and refine electrical design layouts and construction drawings. Research and ensure compliance with building codes, NFPA, NEC, and energy efficiency standards. Manage projects independently or alongside senior engineers, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and knowledge-sharing. Assist in client communications, site visits, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Prepare technical reports, engineering specifications, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and low voltage building systems.
Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or is working toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
